We were in Yuma, Arizona as part of a trip of the Southwest, and I found this museum on Yuma's tourism website. Like many locations on reservations, Yahoo and Google Maps did not give proper directions. We had to call the office, and the women working that day was very helpful and she was incredibly nice. To call it a museum is a little bit of a stretch, but you do get to see some interesting artifacts in a moderate-sized room. The gift shop has some clever and unique items, and the scenery is beautiful on the drive to the museum. It is free, but a donation is appreciated. This attraction is not the type of place you will be able to spend an entire day, or even a few hours. That being said, if you are in the Yuma/Somerton area, it is worth a few minutes of your time.

Small museum chronicling the Cocopah Indians of the area. Not very exciting. The gift shop is bigger than the displays.

We believe this reviewer is confusing the Cocopah Museum with the Quechan Museum. The Quechan Museum is located on Indian Hill on Quechan land. The Cocopah Museum is located on the West Cocopah Reservation and is currently open and in very good condition.
