The wine tasting was done while we ate a catered lunch which was delicious, and a great and better way to do a wine tasting in some ways. We bough ca dessert and dinner wine we loved.

We made this winery the second of our 3 stops on a recent Sunday afternoon. There were quite a few cars parked across the front when we arrived, so we started a second row. We had been inside for less than 10 minutes when Karyl (the owner) said "whose car is that?" I realized she was referring to my car, so I told her it was mine. She said "in what universe did you think it was a good idea to park there?" Keep in mind the parking lot is dirt and gravel and there are no lines painted or designated parking spots. We had parked the car along the edge of the lot and far enough back from the first row for cars to get through. It wasn't like we had parked sideways in the middle of the lot and were blocking traffic. She kept up with her rant for a little while to all the other guests who were in the tasting room (it was pretty busy). My friend told her it wasn't hurting anything by being parked there and it seemed like Karyl reluctantly agreed. She finally dropped the subject, but by then our experience there was ruined. I found it to be extremely rude and a very unprofessional way to treat guests. Needless to say I did not buy any of the wine and we will never go back.

We tasted at a lot of wineries, but I left here with four bottles and will likely get more! I liked everything we tried and they had an amazing variety!

What a wonderful experience, along with excellent wines. We arrived at 4, and were the only customers, served by Karyl, the owner and winemaker. She patiently and professionally talked through every wine on the list as a critic might, and then added the back stories of how each wine came to be grown or made in southern Arizona. The wines were excellent (we bought a case), including a unique selection of dessert ports that were delicious. This is a wonderful story of a family business in a unique place, doing something outstanding.

We arrived around 1.30pm to find several had the same idea. The small tasting room was crowded, however,we were greeted with a smile and were served within a few minutes. We enjoyed our tasting and the cheese plate that we had reserved was delicious. All in all a most pleasant afternoon and we will certainly return

Wilhelm was our last stop on our winery tour as they had the latest closing time. Walking to the tasting room you could tell they were working on a new patio that will be very nice when completed-probably done by now. The tasting room was rather small, very warm as the setting sun was shining right in the uncovered windows and it was quite crowded, everyone else must have had the same idea....however, we were promptly acknowledged and brought a wine to sample. It was tasty, as were the other wines, but nothing that we were compelled to purchase. Moreover, we really couldn't wait to leave because of the crowd and warmth, it was pretty uncomfortable. And we had scored the only table in the place (there are other benches along the walls). The two ladies working looked rather harried also, although they were friendly, they looked like they were ready for quitting time!

Out of about 10 wines, we really only were crazy about 2 of them but they hit a home run with the the Takara Rose. The fragrance is amazing! Also liked the Sunset. The hostess was very accommodating.

Although the wine tasting area is "cozy", there is a nice covered patio and the hostess was welcoming. And the wine was excellent! Nice place to visit in the Sonoita area.

Wilhelm Family Vineyards, is just that a family vineyard. From the moment we walked thru the door it seemed liked we belong. Such a friendly atmosphere. The wines were out of sight and the cheese we tasted was heavenly Danielle was the prefect host, she told you about every wine and what it would be great to so with. If you like wine tasting and you are in the area be sure not to miss Wilhelm Family Vineyards..

Drove down from Tucson on a Wednesday afternoon when they were supposed to be open from 11-5 to find the place shuttered at 3pm. Very disappointed.

As most of the other reviews mentioned this is a great place with great customer service and some very tasty wines! We stopped by on Mothers day and although they were busy we still felt like we had excellent service! After reading the other reviews I defiantly want to stop by when its quieter and we can hear more about Karyl and her story!

Great visit, very good wine, atmosphere, and people. Very friendly atmosphere, very helpful about wine selections, and really a great variety of wines, there's something for everyone's taste and they take the time to help you find something you like, and mabey explore types you wouldn't normally try. Very positive experience

Karyl was a delightful host! We enjoyed some amazing wines, including a variety of flavored dessert ports - wow!

The tasting room is small, so if there is a crowd, be prepared to wait for a spot at the tasting 'bar'. We got there an hour before closing and ended up staying well after they closed. Karyl, their winemaker, along with her fellow wine sampler (I can't remember her name) were so entertaining and welcoming. Loved the insane amount of wines available to sample--there something there for everyone: sweet, white, red, dry, effervescent, fruit, port, chocolate.....We loved the wandering friendly puppies....this was one of our favorite places and I cannot wait to take my husband here. Karyl was sweet enough to 'sign' a bottle for just my hubby....we had so much fun talking wines and recipes....I cannot wait to go back!
