little bear archeological site

Don't expect Mesa Verde , but this little site is a work in progress and any opportunity to see an ancient structure works for me and my imagination ....

The site is out of the way. It is outside of town and tucked in a community of cabins. People were helpful in giving us directions. There are several petroglyphs on the way. Locations of those are found on the internet and in print. The ruins are not reconstructed. They are more of a dig in progress. The scenery is beautiful and we saw a beaver dam and lodge next to the ruins which provided entertainment. If you enjoy archaeology then this is a pretty scenic drive.
