The winery itself is down a winding narrow dirt road. The tasting room has some tables inside a glass enclosed room and outside seating is available on the deck. You can bring food to eat with your wine if you want. You can select between six dry and six sweet wines for $7.00 and it includes the wine glass, that's a pretty good deal. The owners are very friendly and answer questions about the area and the wineries in the state. The wines we tried were okay but my wife liked one wine enough to buy a bottle. The winery is a nice place to go to have snacks and wine while taking in the views.

We went here on a Groupon and will definitely be back. The wine selection was excellent and the staff was too! Great views. Bring a snack and stay awhile.

This winery is just south of Interstate 10 on Hwy 83. Definitely worth the stop. Wines are good and the Sarah certainly lives up to its description as peppery. The Tempranillo had a very distinct and unique smoky taste. It was so different that I had to buy a bottle of it to take and share with my friends back home. The expansive wooden deck overlooks the vineyard and the valley and provides a stunning panorama. Pretty had to beat sitting in comfortable chairs, sampling good wine and enjoying the scenic view. As with other wineries in the area a wine glass is included in the price. If you take the glass into the other wineries you receive a 10% discount on their wine tastings.

We visited the Charron Winery for the wine tasting. It is located off Hiway 83. The setting and view of the mountains was very nice, especially sitting on the patio. Wine tasting is any 6 wine tastings for $7, your Charron wine class is included in the fee. We enjoyed it very much

It was my first visit to a Winery and I enjoyed it immensely! The young lady was very knowledgeable and truly loved her job. We didn't get to sit on the deck because of the snow however the view was very spectacular from the inside. I plan on going back when I'm in Arizona again.

Beautiful relaxing venue with very friendly staff. The view is amazing and the wine is good (try the Empire <3). Will definitely pack me some ~brinner~ and visit again!

Patio and view was perfect. A glass of good wine top off the visit. Pack your lunch, the staff was great as well.

Had a great visit here. The wines are great but the views are even better. It's open later than most of the wineries in Sonoita so it's perfect to stop here to watch the sunset on your way back to Tucson.

Great views, great wine, nice people. Can't get better than that. Worth a stop on your way down Hwy 83.

I enjoyed the wines here, mostly whites, which is my preference. It was nice to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the "what's not to like" view, and have your tastes brought out to you. Friendly folks, too. Bring your own glass if you don't need another tasting glass, and they discount the tasting fee.

When I visit a winery my experience is influenced by three things - the setting (both inside & out), the service, and last but not least the wines. To some people it may be all about the wines, but for me if I just want to taste their wines then I'll just buy a bottle at the store or online and drink it at home rather than spend hours driving/flying to a certain area and touring multiple wineries. So this review will cover all three of those criteria. SETTING: This winery/vineyard is a little off the beaten path with a 3/4 mile drive down a dirt road followed by a steep rocky inclined driveway to get onto the property. Upon walking up to the winery the first thing you notice is their BEAUTIFUL trellis-covered deck that overlooks a valley and their vines. It is honestly one of the most incredible decks I have ever seen with a nice fireplace in the corner and grapes hanging down from the vines above. Breathtaking. Unfortunately the inside isn't quite as nice, it's just a mobile home converted into a small tasting room. We were there in the morning and luckily it was warm enough to taste out on the patio near the fireplace, but in the winter months when high temps are in the upper-50's to low-60's I can see tasting on the patio being a problem. SERVICE: Since we were seated on the patio we had to wait for the woman servicing the tasting room to bring out each wine, and with a few other couples there it was sometimes a long wait between wines. The person pouring the wines was not as knowledgeable about their winery or wines as one would expect at a tasting room, but she had only been there a few weeks so I'll give her a pass on that. WINES: First of all, if you are a red wine drinker then you'll probably want to skip this place all together. You get to sample 6 wines from their tasting menu, but of the dozen or so wines on the menu there are only 3 reds - and one of them is a sweet red (so sweet I could only take one sip!). We started with 1 white, 2 rosés, and finished with the 3 reds, and none of them were very good - their best is probably the tempranillo rosé which was still just average (maybe 84 points). So overall the wines were a big let down to me, and it was a disappointing way to kick off our wine tasting weekend. I give the ambiance 4.5 stars, the service 3 stars, and the wines 2 stars - so an average rating of about 3 stars overall. I recommend skipping this place as your first stop on the wine trail and instead proceed directly to the Dos Cabezas tasting room in Sonoita.

How can you beat sitting on the outdoor porch while the six wines are brought to you, one after another, and each unique and lovely. This was our first stop on a wine tour and it was so delightful and satisfying, that we gave a thought to just lingering and giving up going any further. We chose mostly the dry wines but the Rincon Red made such a good impression, that we had to buy several. Yes, the gravel road to the tasting room might benefit from some repairs but don't be put off by this - make the effort and you'll be rewarded!

My girlfriend and I needed a break the other day so we headed down to the Sonoita area to hit a few wineries. The funny part about this review is, we totally passed this one and on the way out of town we decided to stop at one more, and we were glad we did! Everything about this vineyard worked for us. The woman who helped us was so sweet and very accommodating. The gift shop there had some really cute gifts at a great price. The wines we tried were very tasty and each very different from each other. I think we bought the red table wine here, but we were drinkin so I could be mixed up. The patio and view at sunset were amazing! From what we heard, they will be serving food there by next year so we will be going back!!!!

Great place to sit a spell and enjoy a very drinkable glass of wine - or two!I brought some friends from Champagne, France to this winery for an afternoon. They liked the wine enough to buy several bottles! This was a huge surprise to me, as they have very discriminating and experienced palates. I live up the mountain from Charron and I've watched the progress of this winery over the last 20+ years - from tiny vines to this full fledged operation. I'm very happy to see how the winery has done under the current owners management. They were in the tasting room, pouring, and we all enjoyed chatting with them. Their passion for what they are doing really shines. The outdoor terrace is wonderful. You get a nice view of the Empire Mtns. and the Santa Ritas. Great shade! They do not sell food at the winery, but they do allow people bring in their own snacks. I suggest you do so, as it makes the experience more enjoyable. We had nuts and some cheese and it went well with the wine. I am not a big 'wine person' but I will go back because it was very enjoyable, on several levels! I also brought a few bottles home to enjoy later!
