Lake HavaSu State Park is an amazing campground located just north of the London Bridge area. The sites in this campground are HUGE, with asphalt pads, 30 AMP and 50 AMP service, and good water pressure. The proximity to the lake means no sewer service, but there is a convenient dump station located near the exit. Lake views are great, and close encounters with wildlife (especially coyotes) should be expected. Campsites are gravel, with picnic tables, fire puts, and shade structures. We have stayed here twice, and much prefer it to the aging, "sardine in a can" atmosphere of Crazy Horse RV park. A great value for the money!

We camped at the Park and it was awesome. We had to dry camp at the overflow area as everything else was full up, because of Rockabilly Reunion. We stayed 4 days extra because it was so amazing. We had excess to the bathrooms and showers, plus water. The people there were very professional and friendly and willing to help with anything that you might need.

Stretching for nearly two miles along the lakeside, Lake Havasu State Park is a Mecca for boaters, picnickers, swimming, campers, or the person who just enjoys a walk among the diversified desert plants and animals. On occasion, they will even host special events such as the trailer show on the day we visited. The park has beautiful sand beaches, a large area for launching boats and separate areas for personal watercraft, fishing boats and other recreational boats. The park offers 47 camp sites with electricity and water and many of the spaces have beautiful views of the lake. There is a 14 day limit on camping. While they charge a fee for day use, the quality of their facilities more than justifies the reasonable cost.

I live here in Lake Havasu and this state park is a genuine asset to our community. The location is incredible with plenty of waterfront , beaches and boating access. The BIG boat launch area is designed to quickly & efficiently launch many boats at a time. The site also provides excellent location for many of our incredible activities & events. From boat races , kayak races, jet ski championships and other water sporting events to Fun festivals and musical events. Check out Rockabilly , Blue Grass Festival, Busses by the Bridge and much more. Large campground on site and some fun hiking trails. If you're interested in desert plant life, then go to the park and investigate the botanical gardens, which display dozens of native plants displaying names & info on plant and wildlife in the area.

The campground was spread out, the picnic table was covered, and the site was right on the beach. Water and electricity only and a dump station and nice free showers. A quiet, restful atmosphere and a spectacular location.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn and walked to the park. It was very clean and tidy, the workers had just driven over the "beach" read "small pebble area" so it all looked very nice. There picnic tables and chairs which were shaded and a large area to sun bake, swim, fish or boat. Our son who was travelling with us thought the spot for RV 's would be worth staying at with his young family. Would recommend sturdy shoes for walking between areas, some shoe wear for the beach area and something soft to sit on. It was still quit warm in October, but pleasant. Fees to drive in, free to walk in. Take everything with you to eat or drink.

Although it took a bit of searching to find this park online, we're so glad we did. They have recently renovated and now there is electric and water at each site. We had a site that was a few yards from the lake, it was great. Easy bike ride to the Old London Bridge and across for a tour of the island (not much to look at). A great place to camp. Bring your pool toys!

Stayed here overnight in a RV. Temperature in the afternoon was well over 110F so we felt sorry for the tenters. Waterside was very nearby with several trees providing some shade. Make sure you have water-shoes available, as the bottom is uneven and very rocky. Well maintained beach available at 5 minutes walking (via small gravel trail), but useless as the sand was just to hot to sit on. I cannot comment other campground facilities (showers/bathrooms) as we did not use them.We spotted a skunk walking around our RV in the evening looking for food, nice!

We visited the park in late May and the temps were already getting up there. We stayed at the adjacent Hampton Inn and you can walk into the park from the hotel. If you drive in they charge a fee per car. The park is mostly a RV camping area and a boat launch with some beach access. Good clean bathrooms. There is not much shade so this is a late evening or early morning stop. We hiked the Sunset Trail and saw quite a few birds even though the morning was heating up. We stumbled on a small cactus garden called Arroyo de Camino, not really part of the park but very much worth a quick stop. A very birdy place with most of the local cactus on display. A cool thing to do especially if you have kids: bring a black light flashlight, very cheap, and walk in the scrub behind the camping area at night. The scorpions will glow in the dark under black light and they are easy to find back here. We saw over 20 within 20 minutes.

We've been using the launch here for years, we always feel safe here. Not so many crazies. The lots are large and facilities are clean. and its cheaper than the Marina!

It was over 110 degree F when we got to the lake so we were keen for a cool swim, however, we took the side via London Bridge being a weekend day, the place was busy with many boats and the combined noise and fuel smell from them was very strong so we chose to move a little further away. Be careful of the playground equipment when in hot conditions as our child burned his leg on an exposed metal part of the play gym, where the protective rubber layer has worn off. Apart from that it was a welcome relief to have a swim and cool down.

Stayed at Cattail Cove which is a fair park but beware, they have rangers writing tickets for minor infractions. When dumping the holding tank of gray water, some ran outside the berm. Cost me a $500 citation. My advise is to never stay at an AZ State Park, especially Cattail Cove, unless you want to risk fines for minor infractions! They have a Barney Fife running around, just looking to write tickets!

We stayed at this park in a tent. The park was clean, well maintained, bathrooms clean. The Maintnance crew checked bathrooms and trash every morning. There is a lovely desert scape nature walk. There is no shade, so be prepared with something to create shade during the warmer season The problem we had were the feral pigs, they were at our campsite each night, rooting under my tent, ravaging our camp area. The campground has updated their website to warn campers since we complained to the state department when nothing was done, and we were not warned. Feral pigs can be dangerous, so you must know about them, and be prepared.
