Having come to Tucson regularly since 2006 I was surprised to just have discovered the Franklin Museum. My wife and guests and I were very impressed with both the Franklin Autos on display and the gentleman who gave us the guided tour. Don't let the rustic setting influence your decision to visit the museum. Once inside the first building you will be struck with the beauty of the restored Franklin automobiles. It has jumped to the top of our list to bring visitors to when they come to Tucson.

I'd never heard of Franklin cars, but went here with a tour arranged by the Arizona Historical Society off-shoot "Pathways." We came by bus, so didn't have to worry about finding this tucked-away spot. I'm not an old car buff, but enjoyed the visit anyway. My husband was enthralled. Be sure to begin the visit by viewing the video.

I don't get excited about restored cars, but this was well worth the visit! Definitely take the guided tour. The information shared is great history. A little off the main drag, a few blocks in, on a dirt road. There is a small sign near the ground that says 'Welcome' that we initially missed. GPS definitely helped. Not sure if they take credit cards or not; cash or check work via honor system.

A small, but excellent Museum tucked in a residential area that is a bit tricky to find. Well worth the time. Docent was just tremendous. Franklin was a little know car and the restorations are great. Well worth the visit and only $10/person ($8 for seniors)

We thought we were lost on dirt roads and then we saw the little sign for the entrance. There was nobody at the museum, it was just the honor system for payment. The cars are all in excellent condition and immaculately restored. I would have enjoyed learning the history about each car, but there was no information provided (ie who had owned it, where it was from, condition when acquired, etc). There were no runabouts. We actually saw a bobcat in the parking lot when we arrived and then a coyote when we drove out the exit. Crazy!

Took my boyfriend to the Franklin Museum as a surprise date! It would have been difficult to find if we hadn't put the address into the GPS. It is tucked away in a Ft. Lowell neighborhood, and is great for a small "getaway" for the day. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I don't know a lot about cars but enjoyed it just as much as my boyfriend did, who knows everything about cars! We were promptly greeted and started our tour as soon as we arrived. There were three different showrooms/garages to look through full of antique Franklins in pristine condition. The tour guide was very helpful, accommodating and welcoming. This is a great place to spend an afternoon!

This site is a nightmare to find, the satnav takes you to the road and then we found it was no entry. Eventually we did find it.The effort was worth it.Lovely display of cars. Not one of the cheaper entrance fees

This small car museum is tucked away in central Tucson. You need to call ahead for time and reservations but it is well worth the trip. In addition to classic Franklin automobiles, there are other antique cars and automotive memorabilia.

The café serves excellent southwest food. Stop by the giftshop. Interesting park with Sonora desert flora. Worth a stop.

Great not so little museum with many restored Franklin cars. Went with a group that also enjoyed it. Easy to find with directions, but you'd never know it was there otherwise. Try it, you'll like it!

Had never heard of Franklin cars, but couldn't resist stopping by. We did not call ahead, but got lucky. Although there are hours posted, and we arrived during those hours, we followed the staff onto the grounds and they opened up for us. I only mention this because it may be to your benefit to call ahead and confirm availability. There are 3 buildings / garages on site. The first (with the best preserved cars) had 11 Franklins. These are gorgeous automobiles. And you have a private tour guide that walks with you so you hear about details you might have missed and you can ask questions as you think of them.Overall there are about 2 dozen Franklins (and one antique Lincoln) on site. It was well worth the 60-90 minutes we spent here. And definitely take the time to view the 5-minute video before you start your tour.Restroom facilities are grim - an old, old bathroom in a run-down house situated on the property. There really isn't room in the buildings/garages for a wheelchair. The cars are packed pretty tight. This is NOT a place for young children. The cars are NOT to be touched, and that was hard for even an adult to do.

This is a fun thing to do in Tucson. These cars are amazing! And, the docent is among the most knowledgeable car expert I have ever had the pleasure to visit with.

We went there this a.m met the curator and spent the next two hours looking at some of the most amazing beautiful vehicles built I had little to no knowledge of these air cooled Jem s that have been meticulously restored and cared for. the history workmanship and pride taken in these vehicles is obvious and a must see for car enthusiasts a north American engendered work of art and a must see
