Show up on Fridays at 10AM and you will experience a very interesting history of the peanut industry in Yuma. (They are open M-Sat) I was a little surprised to find out the once 2,500 acre industry has since been eliminated from the area due to an influx of the White Fly pest. Donna, the current owner of the Peanut Patch imports all the peanuts she uses in creating products for the gift shop on site. Some of the best tasting fudge, peanut brittle, fresh ground peanut butter (both oil and dry roasted) as well as a selection of chocolates, and nuts of all kinds. They did not charge us for the tour, and the free samples. But beware, once sampled you won't leave without buying some of the delicious product sold here. A great place to visit.

Show up just before 10 am on Friday or Tuesday & you will get a free tour & learn all about peanuts from the owner. Very interesting & definately worth the time. I recently read in the local paper that the store has been named " the best gift shop in the area" & if you go you will know why. Great supply of candy, nuts, gift items. Easy to find using GPS directions. Open every day except Christmas & thanksgiving.

Good peanut butter and fudge, along with many other things that tourist buy. Expect to pay a premium, but at least it's good quality.

But if you're looking for peanuts, candy or fudge this is your kind of place. The fudge was good and the variety of peanuts and other items for sale is quite large.

The Peanut Patch is a great place to stock up on nuts of all kinds, dried fruit, taffy, fudge and other sweets! They also have gifts and trinkets through out the store. You could easily be in and out in 5 minutes but also spend 25 minutes wandering around the store as well!

41 of us are here visiting from Saskatchewan with Sagebrush Tours. The presentation by the owner on the history of peanut farming in this area was very well done and enjoyed by all. The gift store has 100's of items, reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The homemade peanut butter is great. This is well worth a stop if you are visiting the Yuma area.

Located a few miles off Interstate 8 east of Yuma, there is something for everyone at The Peanut Patch to quench the long distance hungries you build up on long, boring Interstate 8.You'll find the best fudge, fruit treats and nut butters this side of Texas. I highly recommend the swirl fudge maple or orange dreamsicle flavors. The freshly ground peanut butter is without par, to my knowledge. They only use the higher quality Virginia peanuts, not the cheaper Spanish peanuts. Spread that nut butter on sourdough bread for instant satisfaction. Cold drinks and iced teas are available to wash it down. The staff is very helpful and will make up special items if you can wait awhile. Special gift packs are also a Peanut Patch specialty. If you have enough room in the car, such packs are always welcome as Holiday gifts. They ship but that adds a lot to the cost. They are very busy in December, with filled parking lots and a line at the special order desk. Bottom line: Follow the signs off exit 3-E to the Peanut Patch and allow enough time to explore the facility. In winter the cooler winter weather in Yuma welcomes visitors. Give yourselves a treat at this 70-year old quintessential fruit stand famous to old time Yumans.
