This park is a home to a small campground located in a picturesque yet loud area: busy IL Route 31 is on the hill west of you, and Fox River (with no boat traffic) east of you.Activities:This park itself is too small for a long walk, yet a nice long bike trail (from Wisconsin going far south) is just on the other side of Fox River. To pick it up, if you walk, go north until you hit the trail north of Mobil station (31 & Huntington str), or if you are driving park on La Fox River dr near the bridge (between Division st. and Madison st). This stretch of Fox River (between dams on Algonquin rd and few miles south in Carpentersville) should be friendly to canoes and kayaks. If the campground does not offer them, there is a rental place in Elgin. There is a snowboarding hill just north of the park. In the summer you could run up and down. :)
