The galloping ghost is for all ages young and old. You can leave your quarters at home since all games are included for one low price.

I visited here with a friend who desperately wanted to come here while we were visiting Chicago, and it did not disappoint. For only 15 dollars you can spend as much time as you want here, and open until 2 am (with re-entry included). So many games available there's something for everyone, and it is a great way to spend a day or even just a few hours.

This arcade has blown up since we came here for our honeymoon 3 years ago. We came this year to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary and we were pleased to see how much they have grown. They are overflowing with cabinets but the entry price hasn't waivered, which is wonderful! For $15, you can spend your entire day here and never get bored because there is just a plethora of games to play. We've recommended it to friends and will definitely keep coming back.

If you saw my prior review, you'll notice that when I visited Galloping Ghost in July 2013 (I'd already been there several times) I was very disappointed. Well, I finally went back in October 2014 after hearing that there were a lot of improvements to the arcade. MIND BLOWN.Used to be that it seemed that a majority of the games were of the beat-'em-up type, but now it's very difficult to not notice just how much of a good variety the Ghost has, and lots of genres from the past 35 years. The ratio of working-to-nonworking games on the floor has significantly improved (and even then, I really need to go easy on the Ghost -- with over 400 games, there's only so much you can do to keep the games up and running in a reasonable time!). I also noticed that many of the games that used to be in custom or twofer cabinets are now in their original stand-alone cabinets with the original control panels. And some of the games that are still in custom cabs have been modified to be made more faithful to their originals.During my visit I finally got to meet Doc Mack, the owner, in person. Really nice guy, and this time around his staff definitely seemed to be on the ball with everything.I will absolutely be going a lot more than I used to.

Expect a bunch of broken equipment or machines that are really playstation driven cabinets. You have lots of knock off half implemented games. Pinball room and "console" room were not open. For $15 I give it a better rating than if it was $30Overall I would recommend it for a one time stop if you are from out of town.

I tell all my friends about this place if not just drag them here. They're always moving in new old school arcade games as well as new ones. And you can't beat the all you can play for $20. And there open till 2am!Only real problem I have with this place is that they have a pinball room that's only open on random days. We went on a Friday and wasn't open. Then the next week it was bit only for a hour. So that part is a hit or miss. And is new so think it's a work in progress. But I always have a blast here and anyone who love arcade games will love this place

My children have loved the parties they have attended here. One of our favorite places when the weather is rainy or super hot- they have a lot of video games , pinball machines and every sort of game . Is a great deal too

If you like old school video games and, as a kid, wished that you had an endless supply of quarters to play then look no further than Galloping Ghost. This space is filled with vintage, as well as more recent, video games all set to free play. You pay a single fee and you are free to play to your hearts content and reach those levels you never could without a pocket full of quarters. This is a great place on a rainy or cold day for any vintage video game nerd.

Been here a couple times, the last was on my sons birthday with 6 of his friends. I can't say enough about this place. Great games, fun for the kids and parents and an awesome staff. If you are or were into gaming, this is a must visit.

What was the worst part about arcades? Other than having a fifth grader kick your but at mortal kombat. For me it was dumping handfuls of quarters into the games. By the end of the night, I couldn't even recall how much money I spent. Galloping Ghost eliminates that completely. For just $15, you can play all the classic arcade games you remember all day and night. All the greats from the 80's and 90's are there. You'll have no trouble finding your old favorites. Party rooms are also available with console games. I went with my wife and friends to celebrate a buddy's 30th birthday.. I felt like I was a kid again as I found all the games I remember playing years ago. We spent a few hours hopping from game to game. Fighters, shooters, racing, and more. The games are kind of packed in there so it can get a little crowded and hot, but I was so happy to be playing the games that I barely noticed. They offer pop and candy, but no real food. This makes it a little tough when you plan on being there for several hours. However, there are restaurants in the area and you can leave the arcade and come back without having to pay again (be sure to keep your reciept). I think you can aso have food delivered if you want, but I'm not positive about that. All in all, it's a great place and a great price for all you can play. The staff is friendly and they are open everyday, even holidays, till 2 AM. They even offer weekly, monthly, and yearly memberships.

Great selection of classic games. For me it was like a time warp back to the 5th grade or so. All games were in working order and fun to play. Must have been a couple of hundred games. http://gallopingghostarcade.com/ Well for the time and money for a few hours of fun
