pretty good for younger kids but not much for teens or older kids. this is designed more for little ones.

We've been here many times with our girls from age 2 through 6 when we moved. It has a great variety of things without being too overbearing. The worst part is that it can get crowded. The prices are very reasonable, even for food. The staff has always been helpful. We even visit when we are swinging though STL in the summer.

Definitely worth the price and the kids really enjoyed themselves! The kids do have to be a certain height to ride the big slides which was a little upsetting because my kids swim well but weren't tall enough to ride those particular slides. Luckily they enjoyed everything else. The place was small enough, too, that I wasn't worried about losing my kids all day long. The concession stand had a big variety and prices were reasonable. We will visit again!

I'd seen the Groupon for this waterpark and was interested in visiting with my spouse and two sons. It's a good thing that my brother, who lives in Swansea, hosted a birthday party for my niece here before I had a chance to pay for it myself, or I would've been much more disappointed. This place is tiny compared to other waterparks. The lazy river is pathetic and since I don't (read: can't) swim, it is the only feature that I enjoy when I visit waterparks. I expected the park to be much bigger. As a plus, the pizza wasn't terrible, the price is reasonable, and my little one and the smaller children (age 7 and under) had a blast. Too bad the party was for a 16 yr old. The waterpark is too small to enjoy and pales in comparison to others. If you want to bring smaller children, they'll love it. I don't recommend it for anyone older than a preteen.

Arrived at Splash City at 4:30...at 5:15 one of the pools had shut down because someone had puked in it. The staff then directed everyone to another pool and once there, one of the kids in our group said he saw BLOOD in the pool...come to find out THAT pool had been closed earlier because someone had bled in it. With Ebola cases going around, we immediately decided it best to leave...talked to Quinn and was denied a refund because "there were other attractions that were still available". DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED...

This place was fantastic. My grandson is just under $48" and anyone with a kid that size knows what that usually means......"Sorry, Bud, your too little". No here. They have two big water slides with a minimum height of 40" that does not empty out into a big pool, but a level area with water about 6-12" deep at the end of the slide. PLUS the staff is fantastic. If you are less than 1/2" under, they let you go on the 48" attractions, which includes a surfing ride, where you actually ride on your belly on a boogie board. My grandson was able to get up on his knees. If you go in August of 2014, get a groupon. This value CANNOT be beaten!!!!!!

Clean, not big, but big enough and plenty to do. Expensive snacks-- be prepared. Nice people work there, and fellow water park visitors were nice, too. You should go. I think you'll have a good time. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Park was clean and looked to be well maintained. Lots of loungers available in both sun and shade. Most water activities were for kids 2-12, but there was enough for everyone. A bit pricey but was able to find a two for one coupon.

Staffed mostly by teens and run by the city government . Customer service is not a priority. The last time I visited in 2013 many of the water features were broken. The sandbox area was full of broken plastic pieces from the sand toys. You literally have to smuggle snacks. They look through all of your bags to make sure that you don't byo. The problem with this is the parent and tot swim time starts 2 hours before the concessions even open. Clearly they are oblivious to the fact that little kids need snacks and drinks. I'm sure they would tell you you can exit and walk to your car to retrieve a snack and then come back in. Which is totally ridiculous. Either make snacks available or don't forbid them.

We wish we could give you better news on this popular park. Unfortunately, we found it to be overpriced (even for the Local Rate), and unclean. We brought 5 youngsters along for the day. Each one was super excited to be at their first waterpark. Luckily, they're all too young to realize that there were obvious sanitation issues, and safety concerns. We watched a toddler excrete into a wading pool, while the Lifeguard and Staff looked on. It took an irate parent to address the Manager, to get the pool evacuated and cleaned. The teen worker assigned to the job, proceeded to dump a 5 gallon bucket of harsh chemicals into the pool, without so much as a warning, red tape, or other Notice to patrons. No sooner had that bucket been dumped, when one sweet-faced little toddler scooted right in, ahead of his unknowing parents. We had to jump up and wave to them, so that they knew the pool was unsafe.Splash City should have some sort of protocol (closing a pool, marking it Off Limits, or otherwise) for situations such as these. Who knows what kind of problem a young child could develop after being exposed to such a high concentration of chemicals ??Even though we had on swimwear, we chose not to use any of the water pools. Our feeling was that it seemed rather unkempt and dirty. Also, the staff at Splash City REALLY needs to enforce the No Smoking policies. This is considered to be a Municipal Park, and the regulations should be governed accordingly. We hope that Splash City works on becoming more professional, and better managed. We don't intend to return until it is...and we'll let others know what we think, until we find out otherwise.

My teenagers are 12 and 15. The crowd this place is attracting is not ok. I'm not sure it's safe to drop them off there. Definitely don't bring valuables or leave them in your car.

Slides, pools, inner tubes, surfing, lots of lounges. Plenty of shallower water (4 ft. And less) for kids and non-swimmers. Tents available for parties, lots of shade umbrellas, too.

We visit Splash City about once a summer and no more. Primarily because of cost and rules. We are rules people and don't make messes to leave behind, but the park does take fun out of the day. Most of the activities are kid related, they added events this season to the pool to attract kids. Since my grandchildren are young I pay full price to sit on a towel and watch the kids play in a big open shallow area. This is on top of this being a City tax supported venue. Out of towners receive coupons admitting two for one. Its fun if it isn't over crowded. A lot of kids show up without adults. Not a bad place to spend a hot day. Raging Rivers Water park has a whole lot more to offer and prices with coupons are similar. I recommend Raging Rivers Water Park in Grafton IL.
