I was given the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience 10 lap experience for Christmas. On 2/15/15 we arrived at Mobile International Speedway and were cheerfully greeted and signed in. We then attended a class for the experience. The class was very informative and at times comical! We then went and got all of our racon gear on. Then off to the cars, strap in and START YOUR ENGINES!!! The cars torque and the way it handled and accelerated will make you have a great respect for the professionals that do this every weekend. If you ever have the opportunity to do the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience.... D

I experienced the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience at the Gateway Motorsports park on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014. It was the best adrenalin rush ever. I have watched stock car racing for years and driven Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, BMW and other cars, trucks, semi trucks and nothing compares to this experience. The staff could not have been more helpful or informative in getting me ready and able to drive the stock car. Before that day I never new there was such a big difference in driving a stock car than in any other type of driving. I was not the fastest car on the track, but when I got out of the car I felt like I had won the race. I recommend this to anyone who has an interest in stock cars, racing or just learning something new. Thank you to all the staff and Rusty Wallace racing for a great day that I will never forget.Todd T.

I went to the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience yesterday and in a word it was AWESOME. I opted for the 10 lap experience with no driver ride-along, as I assumed my experience driving a motorcycle (and, admittedly, playing 3D virtual-reality driving games) for years would prepare me for the experience. The training was great and really prepared me for the tight short-track turn rifght past the pits, and I LOVED my time on the track. I hit pretty high speeds (~ 150 mph I think), did not spin out or crash, but do wish I had done the ride-along first - partly so I could have made even more of the track time I DID have, but mostly because the pros FLEW past me on the high side (175 mph? 185?), and that would have been even more thrilling (I think). Overall I give this experience and 'must do it again and do it for longer' rating :-)

On 09/21/14 I had the pleasure to experience the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience at the Gateway Motorsports Complex in St Louis. As an experienced driver I found the class room presentation very helpful and then I took ride along as well to understand the track better to make my experience more enjoyable. The crew at the track were extremely fun to walk and talk with. Making the time spent worth every penny. I am super glad I decided to take the ride along before my own driving experience , it gave me the insight on the track and what target points I needed to hit to be as fast as possible. Thanks for such a great experience. Leo Rines

I thoroughly enjoyed my Rusty Wallace Driving Experience at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, IL. on Sun. Aug. 31, 2014. Rusty Wallace always displayed professionalism throughout his racing career and this has carried over to his Rusty Wallace Driving Experience endeavor. His personnel were very courteous, professional and extremely helpful. As a result my involvement in the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience was even more enjoyable. Spreading the word about the Rusty Wallace Driving Experience will be my way of thanking your organization. Next UP-----My wife Chris our daughter Trina and her girlfriend Billi in the spring, 2015. The Rusty Wallace Driving Experience is indeed a "Family Affair."

My 18yr old son drove for the first time at the Newton IA track and had a spectacular time! He drove 16 laps and could have easily added 50 more. This was absolutely worth the price and we are very glad to have added laps. 8 just wouldn't have been enough. Highly recommend this!

I surprised my husband with this experience over at Gateway Motorsports Park in Illinois this past Sunday. He had no clue that he would be driving an actual NASCAR race car when he woke up. It was a big secret between our friends and some of our kids. He loved it! The people were very professional and made sure the participants were safe and secure in their cars. We bought a nice plaque with his picture and the race car he drove on it which was really nice and he has shown almost everyone now. We will definitely do it again but maybe at another track in another city/state.

I was able to attend the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience Shootout Package for Gateway Raceway last weekend. I've been to many races and love driving and going fast so it was a perfect answer to my needs. The staff was fantastic, laid back and after our 45 minute safety class we were fitted with suits and helmets. Unlike other racing experiences I've been to we were not rushed and were given some extra freedoms. In the past, I've seen an "assembly line" mentality of shoving people in a car, then dragging them out fast as possible. After we got comfortable in the cars and did a radio check, we were released one by one down the pit lane and on the track. Each driver gets spotter support to help clear them on the track and help with racing lines / speed. There was no pace car so it was go as fast as you want (within the safety parameters: dedicated racing lane, breaking points, passing zones). Yes, passing zones. There's no follow the leader here. If a car is slow in front, the spotter moves them down a lane and you able to race by so you don't lose any of your speed. The laps go by way to quick, but the experience is excellent. Even though you aren't running as fast as the pros, it gives you a whole new respect for the driving ability, intestinal fortitude, and amazing mechanical grip found in professional racing. Highly recommended.
