My boyfriend and I had a day to just hang out in Evanston and since the weather was decent for Nov, decided to visit the NW campus and this park. It's a very nice urban park with a beach on Lake Michigan (closed at this time), lots of walking paths and grass areas to lounge around. There are bathrooms but they were closed for the season. The area homes are very scenic too. And this time of year there was plenty of on street parking. The walking paths link to other parks along the lake too. If you have some time to kill and enjoy walking, then this is the place for you. Recommended!

What a gorgeous view! Waters: see the lake & the pond with a beautiful fountain inside. The skies with everchanging cloud formations. Ducks & ducklings swimming, waddling, sunbathing in & around the pond. Adorable dogs of every species walking by because of the nearby dog beach. Majestic trees all around. Autumn will be gorgeous with leaves changing colors. Grassy areas for sunning, reading, picnicking, playing frisbee, walking, day dreaming... In the summer, there is a small food vendor open & the bathrooms are open to the public. It has a lovely pier to stroll onto. I've seen wedding photo shoots here...Just rejuvenating! I feel so connected to nature & my maker here. Ample parking too,

The park is a great place to enjoy the summer which is located at the edge of Lake Michigan. The area is filled with outdoor activities like boating, tennis, cycling, surfing to name a few. It is the backdrop of the well-attended annual arts festival. Or you can spend the afternoon reading your favorite book. There's even a beach area solely dedicated for your four-legged pets. Take note that you need a city pass to enter the beach area (daily or season pass). Picnic tables and adjacent grills are spread across the park so this is good for group barbecue outings. This is one of the reasons why I love Evanston.

A most excellent venue to see FREE live music during Evanston's Starlight Concert Series. Located right on Lake Michigan. During the winter, it's a nice place for ice skating (when it's open, which has been less and less in recent years)..... At any rate, go out and see some FREE live music---you'll be happy you did!

Loved the park. Nice bike path and paths to walk. Has a dog beach to exercise your dog. Beaches are not free, you can buy a day pass. Lots of fabulous eye candy on hot summer days!!!

This park has been a favorite point for The Ethnic Art Festival for 25 years for us. The lakeside location is Great and the Music is good considering it is free. There are many nice art and craft exhibits and a pond to watch while you stroll along looking at art.

Great park for sitting outdoors and enjoying a last picnic with your oldest friends before moving away from Chicago.Hypothetically.Windy by the lake by this time of year, but the fountain is beautiful and the ducks are entertaining and the people-watching is top-notch. Plenty of free three-hour parking, and the park is very dog-friendly. Pack a lunch and enjoy!
