Great thing to do and a nice summer day. Inexpensive. Boarded at Moline and took a trip to the Village of East Davenport. Strolled around the Village, ate lunch and caught a ride back. Very relaxing day.

Every summer my family and I ride the channel cat. We take the day and leave in the morning from Davenport and ride the Channel Cat to Moline where we will stop and have lunch. We usually walk around down town Moline after lunch and catch the Channel Cat back to Davenport. The Channel Cat is always a fun experience for the children especially on days where the Mississippi River is having rough waves. Its a good way to get a little splashed and wet if you dont mind the river water.

We took this from Moline to Davenport and back. The service is friendly and reliable. It was a nice way to see some of the river and much more convenient than actual taxis in the quad cities. The $6 per person was well worth it for the day's transportation.

If you are looking for something fun, then this is an excellent option for a fun ride, all day usage for $6. You can take the boat at any of the 4 points (Celebration Belle Landing, Isle of Capri Casino Landing, Village of East Davenport, TGI-Fridays/John Deere Commons)My suggestion is leaving the boat at Village of East Davenport, walk around, have a drink or brunch, then board the taxi back. You can stop by TGI Fridays, go to Pavilion… it is very relaxing!

Was looking for something fun to do on a Sunday. We went on the Channel Cat Water Taxi and had a great time. I could not believe it was only $6 per person. We boarded at Isle of Capri Casino and exited at East Village for sight seeing and a drink. Stopped at an Irish pub and then headed back. Next stop was John Deere Commons. Went to TGI Fridays for a drink and appetizer then back on board. It was a great last minute idea and fun to try.

For $6 you can ride all day. It was a fun way to travel for my kids. The staff was professional and the ride was fun.

Very reasonable rates, $6 for adults and $3 for children 2-10 and you can ride all day. Nice way to take a short ride on the river in the Quad City area. You can ride to and from your destination or just stay on and loop back to where you started for a view of the river and local scenery. They also allow bicycles on board.

It's enjoyable to ride across the big river and catch a breeze on a warm evening, but unless you are going to the riverboat gambling place there isn't really a destination, though there are 2 stops. One is just a big gift shop for the riverboat people, mostly junky stuff in there. And the other is a landing for an entertainment center on the Moline side. that's it. But the price is good for the ride, so no complaint as that is what we went for with grandkids.

This is a great way to get across the mighty Mississippi and ride your bike up and down the bike path. There are several places to drop off and pick-up the Channel Cat Taxi in Davenport or Moline so go for a walk to the next pick-up. It's nice to be on the river and see the city from a different view.

What a Deal - only $6 for an all day ride! And the boats run about every 15 - 30 minutes making 4 stops. I had not been to the Village of East Davenport for a while - where are all the shops? Seems there were several more ~ 8 years ago? It was a fun ride anyway!

For only $6 a person you get an all day pass and they take you EVERYWHERE! Its so much more relaxing then driving!

I have been on the Channel Cat Taxi and can tell you it is ery enjoyable when the summer weather is sweltering in the Quad Cities. You can stop and walk around each of the places the Channel Cat goes too and then get on the next one when you are ready to go to the next stop.

The Channel Cat makes such a tremendous accent to the riverfront and the Missisippi. The viewing lessons taught to children (and adults as well) are outstanding. The staff helpful and caring. The Cat is a restful trip and a must do for all.

The public transit system in the QC area has a lot of room for improvement... CHANNEL CAT TAXI to the rescue!!! This is a great way to view the river along the QC and a great way to travel up/down the river.

The cool thing about the Channel Cat is you can take your bikes on board. There are really nice bike paths on both sides of the river so you can go from one area to the next. The price is an all day cost so you can come and go whenever. This is a great way to see the river up close for a tiny cost.
