Olney is famous for its true albino squirrels. The local police have them on their cars and badges, there is a white squirrel triathalon, the Chamber sells white squirrel souvenirs and don't miss the early October white squirrel count.Olney's ordinances give white squirrels the right-of-way. Dogs and cats cannot run loose. They tried to transplant them to the White House in the past but they didn't take. Babies who fall out of their nests are hand fed by the City Clerk.You can see them in the courthouse square and all around but the City Park is reputed to be ground zero.A fun diversion for a road trip.
