Of course, my daughter and I had a nice time skating, this rink reminds me of the old rundown rink where I grew up skating. I have been here for skating competitions as a child, and see that nothing has changed since then, except that the pro shop is now a party room. I'm hoping the pro shop is re-located in the newer West Meadows Ice Rink. They played terrible music, some hard rock station, although there were more families skating than teens and adults. The ice was great, you could tell the ice was cut and a nice layer of hot water laid down. Props to the Olympia driver! No snack bar, just vending machines. If you don't live in the town, they may charge you more than what they charge residents, which is stupid. A rink should charge the same for everyone, regardless of where they are from, especially because I came from quite a distance to try out their public skate.I would think they would want to impress the "out of towners!" After visiting this rink, I am looking forward to visiting the newer Rolling Meadows West rink, sometime in the future, that is if they offer public skating times.
