The old Selva Marina country club is no more. The clubhouse has been torn down in the golf course has been bulldozed. It is emerging from the ashes as the Atlantic Beach Country Club. Same location but with a brand-new clubhouse and a brand-new redesigned golf course. The old Selva Marina was a real gem, and the site of the former Jacksonville open golf tournament. Jack Nicholas and many other famous golfers have played on the former course. All of us former members of the Selva Marina country club, are excitedly looking forward to the opening of the new Atlantic Beach country club in November. Major tradition live on.

We were never members, but visited as guests numerous times. An AB icon for decades, I believe various things just caught up and something had to happen. It's being totally redone as Atlantic Beach Country Club and it looks like it will be really nice. New everything. I do not golf and I'm not a CC type so my interest is limited. As a nearby resident, this was an excellent outcome for the area.

This place is tired, old, has typical country club food, and only so-so tennis and golf. So its cheaper than the others, and feels it...

Selva Marina Country Club is being bought out and will now be called Atlantic Beach Country Club. The new owners plan to also include lots for sale -- however, the lots won't actually be in Atlantic Beach. Selva Marina Country Club was due for a makeover which it will soon be getting. Plans to begin will happen before the end of 2013. The new owners haven't yet established the dues.

Wide open and long. Great course to pull out the driver. Nice green designed. Unfortunately, the old PGA course is in pretty bad condition. With low fees, however, it is a great practice course. For as low as $15 one can play the same course that Jack Nicklaus played on a long long long time ago. It is a frugal golfer’s paradise.
