This has a wonderful layout, friendly staff and good value for your money; however, be prepared to put in a 5 hour round. Some 4somes have devised a game of modified scramble in competition with another foursome. This slows the field of play down tremendously and they are reluctant to allow faster players to play through. One of the marshals was great and asked the foursome to allow us to play through. This saved us an additional hour plus behind these groups. Kudos to the marshal.

I was picking up a friend from a trip to the Bahamas and heading back to the Keys when we decided to try to get 18 holes in if we could. Did a quick search and this Club was quite conveniently located for our travel route. Checked in with out a tee time and the price was very reasonable. We were told to stay on the cart paths as the were refurbishing the course. No problem. The carts seemed new and even had a GPS for the course. Nice!I found the course to be in OK shape, but there were clear indications of the efforts to improve. I also found the "rolling" style of the course and greens very attractive and challenging. It's a short course, but full of water and sand hazards to keep you paying attention.Everyone we dealt with, from staff to patrons, were very pleasant and accommodating. If I'm in the area I would definitely play here again.

Shorter course - greens really challenging - plenty of water - straight drives makes play fun and easy.Staff is friendly and has good themes during the week.

We are sorry that you were disappointed in the conditions of the course. We have a number of projects underway to improve the fairway turf and tee box conditions. We hope you will give us another try when we have these improvement projects completed.

I was visiting in the area and looking for an affordable course to play, this flipped the bill. There lots of water hazards. Lots of variety challenging course for a beginner. They have a mobile house for a club house. Area looks a little rough but I felt safe. I would play again if I was in the area.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the delayed response. You are correct, the course did experience some challenges this spring and summer in meeting our standards for conditions but has since improved. Much of this was a result of infrastructure deficiencies and poor soil conditions on the property. To correct these concerns the club has since over planted several fairways with new Bermuda grass, installed coquina cart paths on 6 holes (with more to come), which allows for better quality turf from reduction in cart traffic. And, we have modified the nutrient applications to improve turf density and reduce weeds. This is ongoing and improving weekly. As for restrooms and the food, we are committed to providing fun and quality experiences; your comments clearly indicate we didn’t meet this standard on your visit. We will review our practices further to improve. We hope you will contact us to come out and see the differences.

Rudeness is not acceptable as it goes against our mission to love, serve and deliver fun to all. Our apologies if our team didn’t live up to this. Although all players want faster pace of play it must be managed appropriately and kindly. We are here to be your Ambassadors of Fun not policemen. Paying for missing clubs you never got is not fun either. No answer for that other than you should have been asked to sign an accurate inventory of clubs when checked out and back in. If we charged incorrectly please come see us and we will correct. And, yes, the greens are wicked… but fun. We appreciate your feedback.

I enjoyed playing on this course, things moved smoothly the course was well kept up and the greens killed me. make sure you know where the pin is and where to land your shots otherwise youre going to think youre on the rides in Universal.

Thank you for taking time to share your experience. We agree visitors should not have to pay a lot more just because they are from out of town. Although we know this is very common at Florida courses, Davie actually has one of the most visitor friendly rate structures. Pace of play is something we watch closely and in-season can be challenging at times due to the popularity of the course. To best assist this effort, we have committed to having more minutes between tee times to better space out groups on 1st tee.

I used to go to this course when it was called Arrowhead. It was closed for awhile while they renovated it. It is worth the low price $30+. I am an average golfer and find the course fairly challenging, but easy to lose golf balls. The undulating greens make putting difficult.

We played here for the first time since its update. The course was in great shape and quite a challenge. The fairways were mostly like a carpet, the undulating greens were challenging and there was lots of water. We were greeted by friendly course staff who were very informative and welcoming. And, there were few others on the course and the greens fees were more than reasonable. We'll be going back soon.

The course, reopened as the Davie country club, was fun to play. It was an interesting course, with plenty of challenges. My only negative, was that the greens were not really fair. I hit one uphill put, which came to about 3 inches from the hole, and then rolled back down even further away from where I had started. This should not happen. Hopefully, as the course matures, these types of issues will be resolved.
