We went to St. Barnabas the first Sunday after we moved to Deland and have been there ever since! The church building is beautiful...representing the oldest operating building in Deland, FL...since 1882. The Rector is young and vibrant, and the assistant Rector is warm, friendly and funny! The congregation ranges from very old to parents with young children, and everything in between. The church has it's own K-8 school that is very well attended, and they are active in outreach and ministering to the community, which was important to us. We were welcomed warmly by parish members...a lovely way to start a new life! We love the parish and are thankful to have found it!

Some of the best grits I have every had! Friendly, inviting atmosphere. I even went back to the kitchen area to tell the 'cooks' how good they were.
