Just in time for Valentines Day I went to one of my favorite places for some chocolate treats. The gentleman helping me was helpful and polite. Apparently you have to buy a predetermined amount of chocolate covered strawberries (1 lb.) or none at all. Gift bags can only be purchased when they are prepacked with Hoffman's choice of chocolate. One lady was quite rude when I asked for just the bag regardless of price. I miss the old family owned Hoffman's. This investment group can ruin a great thing. It's too bad. The $70 I spent on pretzels and strawberries was over the top but well received by friends and family.

Good chocolate candies and ice cream at this Lake Worth institution. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Not the same as it used to be. I miss seeing the trains. Although the lights were nice. The train set is what made it worth while going to.

I recently visited hoffmans in november due to all the great things ive heard about them. When I entered the store, the smell of chocolate was great and delicious and the setup looked good as well. But when I asked for a hot chocolate, the associates did not want to make it and got an attitude because it was 40minutes til closing and maybe have already cleaned the machine. If they just told me they cleaned the machine, I would of been fine with that, but instead they rolled their eyes back. I felt unwanted so I said never mind and walked out. Worse experience ever and will be the last!

Not your grandmothers Hoffmanns. Quality is gone. The chocolate is often tasteless or stale and the pricing has grown to the point of being ridiculous to compensate for their own bad management. The place is a mess inside and out and frankly the quality is no better then the lifeless stale chocolates sitting in dusty boxes in the Walgreens candor aisle.Very sad. Willy Wonka is dead.

Hoffman's chocolate is amazing. If visiting, you must indulge in their hot chocolate. It may take a few minutes but it is well worth the wait.

We are so sorry that you arrived with the expectation of a full factory tour. While we do offer special tours that can be booked in advance, we do not have unscheduled tours due to the many strict health and Kosher regulations that we must abide by. We are working with TripAdvisor to update this information so there is no more confusion. We are also currently renovating our gardens in preparation for an improved holiday experience this winter. We're glad you enjoyed your visit, and are very sorry for any misunderstandings. Hope to see you back again soon.

Oh how I love Hoffman's! Good thing I don't live nearby because I would spend way to much money and calories on a frequent basis! Their dark chocolate pretzels are the best I have ever had, I buy a pound box when we visit and parcel them out like gold. The nice thing about the factory, as opposed to their other retail locations, is that you can often find out of season items on sale. I have gotten great deals on Easter candy right after Easter, 4th of July/graduation themed items in August, etc. Well worth a trip and a spot in the cooler for whatever you decide to take home. Well worth the somewhat high price.

When I walked in, I was greeted by the delicious aroma of chocolate, a lovely way to start a visit to a chocolate factory. Things went downhill from there. There were two ladies working behind the counter. One was hunched over the back counter talking on a land line extension, ostensibly taking a phone-in order. I never had eye contact or communication with her. No problem; she was obviously busy handling customer orders. The other lady saw me come in. I greeted her, and she returned the greeting, as I stepped into the men's room to wash up. When I came out and strolled up to the counter, she too was on a land line extension, taking phone orders I assumed. So I stood at the counter while she conducted what I took as business. I was the only customer in the store at the moment. It became obvious that these two ladies would be tied up on the phone for a while. What a thriving call-in business, I thought, as I moseyed over to the viewer's window and took in the proceedings in the factory portion of this business. Very interesting. Then I was back at the counter by the cash register again, waiting to be helped. Both ladies were still on the phone. I paid attention at this point to the conversation of the lady standing as she talked and laughed. It became apparent to me that she was engaged in a personal chat, as she continually wiped her sniffling nose with a tissue. And so it went for several pregnant minutes as I stood patiently at the counter. When the lady ended the personal call on the land line, she was on a call on her cellphone. Finally she told the person on the other end of that call that she would call them back later. Then she was off the phones. Only then did she come over and ask if she could help me, still attending to that sniffling nose with the tissue. I asked if there was a menu for the chocolates since there were so many selections. She dismissed my query with some curt remark about all the chocolates being labeled in their display cases.I bought a pound of chocolates, white and dark, with various nuts. From reviews I've read, I have no doubt that these chocolates will be very tasty. Nonetheless, I won't be back -- ever!

As a former employee, I can testify that the chocolate is the smoothest I ever had. You open the double doors and the scent of chocolate sends you in complete bliss. I stop myself before I walk in, close my eyes and breathe it in. The sweet smell sends me to a place of serenity, of joy and complete wonder. The European decor is filled wall too wall with incredibly yummy confections of chocolate covered cherries, truffles and a few signature treats. When you order the chocolate covered strawberrIes be prepared. Every bite is sweet, juicy, perfectly paired with each other. The size of the strawberries are breathtaking. About the size of a fist. But SO worth it. I go traditional with the dark chocolate. Zero aftertaste. And the salty, sweet, crunchy, flavorful chocolate covered pretzels are absolutely divine! You can't eat just one. Over all you'll get your treat on. Everything is reasonably priced and are kosher. They have a terrific variety of sugar free sweets that'll satisfy your sweet tooth. Try the scrumptious ice creams and cupcakes there as well. You'll get your money's worth. And during the holidays, yes it does get a little crowded but for good reason... The holiday lights display. In the beautiful garden you're transported to a magical wonderland of sparkling lights and beautiful displays. Bring YOUR camera! This place you cannot miss the opportunity to experience it. From the acceptionally helpful staff to assist your needs, to witnessing up close what makes this place so amazing by looking through glass in their factory, there are surprises in every corner of the building. Have fun!

This place serves some great varieties of chocolate and has a long history the area. They are famous for their Christmas lights and displays in the rear--go at night to get the full effect and to see this classic holiday display.

What a great place for the chocolate lover! All types of chocolate things in all types of presentations. Plus there's a small café as well. And, you can see into the factory where all this deliciousness is made! The white chocolate covered oreos are very yummy!A unique stop for sure! Bet it continues to be great for all the holidays! We will definitely be back!
