This is a super place for either families, date night or even by yourself. Very tranquil. Beautiful surroundings taking you right to the water.

Today I was with my husband. We spent good time. There are beautiful natures, view towel, and good place for people who like fishing.

Late this afternoon my family and I visited Key Vista Nature Park for the first time. We had just come from another Pasco County park, Eagle Point Park, a few miles up the road and had already paid our $2 parking fee.We headed out into the trails not really knowing where we were going or what to expect. After awhile we finally found our way to the Gulf of Mexico. There is NO swimming at any of the beaches. You can walk down on the sand, but I don't think you'd want to go in the water anyway. If you keep walking, chances are you'll find the observation tower. It has about 3 different levels to climb to get an elevated view. The views are wonderful watching the sun gradually get closer to the water. If you head in a different direction and take the walk on the boardwalk you will eventually find yourself at nearby Anclote Gulf Park.We enjoyed our time walking and sightseeing. I do have 2 complaints:1. Trail signage is not the best. There were a few occasions the trails split with no directional signs. We just hoped for the best a few times. 2. This is a great spot to watch the sunset, but the park closes at 6PM. Depending on the time of year, here you are on a beautiful, serene park, watching the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico, but oh, wait! We have to get back to the car before the park closes! And subsequently miss some of the most fantastic sunsets to be seen.I've included several pictures from our visit including the trails, gulf, boardwalk, observation tower and even a little critter I found. If you found this review helpful, please let me know by clicking the button below! Thank you!

Key Vista actually connects by trails and a boardwalk to another county park with picnic facilities and boat launches whereas Key Vista is untouched nature with 3 story lookouts, trails and nature at it's absolute untouched best. My favorite walking and nature park.

This park is a great place to bring your dog. We took our lab here for a swim in the gulf, the beach wasn't to crowded, so our lab was able to burn off a lot of energy. This park has a viewing tower and board walks, however, to get from the parking lot to the beach you have to travel through the wooded portion of the park. It is a hike especially if your carrying children, beach gear and heavy coolers.

My husband & I frequent this park with our dog. It is the best dog park anywhere atound!! There is plenty of nature to see and many trails to roam! We love the beach line when the tide is low & so does our pup! Just be aware to keep your dog on a leash at all times as per the park rules! Violators put their pets and others at risk! Violators and the occasional snake are the only things to watch out for! I recommend a shoe that provides full coverage to your foot for walking and bring along a pair of flip-flops for the beach area. Also be prepared with water for you and your pouch! The walk out to the beach is a decent one!

this is a place to go if you want to explore the woods or the Gulf of Mexico. I love going and watching the bald eagles where you can see their nest in see them flying.

This is a very nice park that is right on the Gulf of Mexico in Holiday, Pasco County, Florida. It is a nicely maintained park with manicure pine needle trails to follow. It has trails leading in, around, and through the pine forest. There are trails that lead from the parking lot to the Gulf. Sorry there is no maintained swimming beach as it is posted "No Swimming". It is a naturalist type park. You can walk the shoreline and watch the land crabs go scurrying off ahead of you, while the dolphins can be seen just off shore. Many visitors bring their picnic baskets and wadding shoes to this shore. There they do a little shore fishing, or gather a little sunshine.Another feature to the park is that it is dog friendly. You can bring your four legged friend on a leash and enjoy the trails and wading it the water. There are dog stations along the paths for those that forget to bring their own plastic bags for cleaning up after their dogs. The park is clean and the dog owners are friendly and do clean up after the animals. There is a second boardwalk trail that leads over to the adjacent dog park on the cooling channel of the power plant. Here there is a fenced area that the dog owners may bring their dogs, to run off lease within. The fishermen/women can enjoy the long fishing pier that juts out into the Gulf where the channel empties.A wide variety of fish are caught here, and some blue crab traps set out also.Hope you will visit these parks and enjoy. There is a small fee of $2.00.

While on our way to Tarpon Springs on a somewhat stormy day, we decided to stop at this county park completely unaware of its location or any information of it prior to visiting. We walked through the Rock Creek trail and saw several Osprey and nests as well as a multitude of other waterbirds. (Ibises, Seagulls, etc.) and our highlight of the trip was the sight of seeing a Bald Eagle perched high in a pine tree. It was a wonderful county park that we would have enjoyed more if the thunderstorm had not caused us to run that day.

This is such a great, small park nestled in the pine woods that border the Gulf of Mexico on the nature coast in Holiday. I hate to brag about it because it's been my favorite nature retreat for the past 5 years. Since I live a short bike ride away, I often take a travel mug of tea, a good book and some binoculars and ride all the way into the park on the dirt trails that lead to the gulf. My favorite way to spend a morning is at the top of the observation tower watching the mullet jump and the shore birds fish along the waters edge. It's a great view across the gulf, plenty of benches and stopping spots, and quiet. There's a small fee for parking, a toilet at the entrance, and natural trails (no paved walkways). Look for me atop the observation tower !

Take a couple of hours and get back to nature at KVNP. Allow the quietness, the serenity, the beauty of this park to take you back in time. Walk the winding trails as you hear the sound of local seabirds. Continue along the path and as you approach the Anclote River, be sure to take advantage of the many benches along the trails to experience the sea view while watching birds in flight or feeding on the sandy water edge. The park also offers an observation tower as well as a boardwalk to a picnic area and fishing pier. At only $2 per car for the day at any park in the county, the price can't be beat.

Good Trails under canopy of trees, so you get some shade. Great place to bring your dogs to walk or to swim in the gulf. Great place to fish or to watch the sunset.

I love this park. Great trail which goes along the intercoastal waterway and then the Gulf. Extremely relaxing!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this park. There was a very inexpensive fee for parking ($2). There are short loop trails leading from the car park. The longer of these is called the Rocky Creek trail. It took 10-15 minutes to reach the small beach. We sat and watched ospreys diving to capture fish. Along the trail there are plenty of benches. From the beach, you can walk to an observation tower. Unfortunately, whilst we were there it was being repaired so we could not climb it. Further along the trail, there is an elevated board walk, leading to the Anclote River Park. There is a further trail leading from the car park - it's called the shady lagoon loop. This is very short and does not offer any views of the river.
