My husband and I went on the air boat ride in the afternoon. It was a fun ride, and our captain was very knowledgeable about every bird we saw. We were lucky enough to see many spoonbills, egrets and herons, but I was really looking forward to seeing alligators. I saw maybe 5 or 6 small ones and 2 big ones. And I could take pictures of only 2 of those because they hid under the water quickly. I was very surprised we saw so few because the group before us said they saw tons! We must have had just bad luck. I would highly recommend this boat ride for someone who loves bird watching. I guess it's just luck if you see gators or not.

You won't regret the drive to Immokalee after visiting Airboats and Alligators. It is a rustic old marina complete with live bait, many beautiful birds (Cockatiels, Parrots, Macaws) talking and squawking up a storm and live native snakes, from big eastern diamond back rattlesnakes to pygmy rattlers, water moccasins, copperheads and more... even a giant invasive 18' Burmese Python. They also have unique gifts for all and that is all before you go on the airboat ride and see gators galore all over Lake Trafford. Airboats and Alligator is a True Florida Adventure the kind I always read about and saw on TV when I was a kid. My friends always love it and say It makes the trip to Florida worthwhile.

Last week was our fourth time taking friends and family up to Airboats and Alligators. Each time has been such an incredible experience. Alligators from youngsters to huge males are all around the perimeter of Lake Trafford and Captain Gator knows where to find them. Cap'n Gator also knows his flora and fauna and shares it with you. Each time we take this trip we hear from others about how the airboat trip they were on near Everglades City are so crazy and crowded that they never see alligators or much wildlife of any kind. We enjoy this trip so much we're heading back again with more family later this month.

Four of us (all adults) visited this attraction on Feb. 25, 2015. We did not have to wait to board our Airboat and had Capt. Gator as our guide. He promised us some great viewing and he did lived up to his commitment of a full 55 minute guided tour along Lake Trafford. We saw dozens of gators from 2 footers to 10 footers. Some on the shore and some in the water. We saw a lot of new birds ranging from egrets, to herons to roseate spoonbills and even the rare purple gallinule. Lots of great photo shops as Capt. Gator took his time to ensure we got up close to the gators when possible, without disrupting the gators (so that the next tour could also enjoy them) We had visited other Gator tours earlier this winter down in the Everglades but this is definitely the best tour and the best bang for the dollar. Don't waste your time travelling further south... go here first.

I came for an airboat ride with the hopes of seeing an alligator. We saw many many alligators and many unusual birds. Our driver was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife and stopped the boat every time to point what it was and describe it. He was very patient for everyone taking pictures as well. Reservations are necessary. The airboat ride lasted for 1 hour. The only thing I wish we would have done was gone into the center of the lake for one fast ride at the end of the tour. All ages will enjoy. (My sister had been on another airboat ride and only saw 2 alligators)

We took the one hour tour around Trafford lake. What a great time! The airboat was able to get us close to shore where the alligators were resting. We saw alligator babies to big daddies. So if you want to see alligators this is the way to do it!The birds were beautiful. There were large blue herons, egrets, wood storks, ducks, pink birds and many others.Look for cash off coupons in the attraction flyers around restaurants. They will save you $3 per person.

Our guide was great - we were there on an overcast/rainy day. He took us around the lake - gators, birds, etc. Very knowledgeable! Great for kids and adults. But no credit cards!!!!

Outstanding and informative 1 hour long ride around Lake Trafford, through the grasses and swamps along the edges. Scenic, with plenty of alligators of all sizes and a wide variety of birds! We had a very informative driver....truly enjoyable! Will definetly go again! I would also recommend going after 12pm.....and don't forget your camera! Also, very reasonably priced!

Exciting adventure for 45 minutes and I lost count of the gators at 20. Tour is usually an hour but rained last 15 minutes so headed back early but still was very impressed. Will definitely bring visitors. Went on an airboat ride in Everglade City and did not see one gator. This was much closer to Fort Myers and well worth the $34.50

This is a great tour of the Everglades and Lake Trafford. The guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. I would definitely recommend this airboat ride. Also, the gentleman that sold us our tickets told us about a Seminole Casino in Immokalee, Florida nearby, and he gave each of us a $25 Gift certificate to use at the casino.

Airboats & Alligators on Lake Trafford is an excellent vaule. Over the years of visiting Florida and as a resident I have taken many rides all around South Florida. I sincerely believe Airboats & Alligators is one of the best for wildlife, bird life, gators and a fun, safe education. Many great picture opportunities and a knowledgeable guide make the 90 minute trip through the reeds and grass a real treat. On our most recent trip we circumnavigated the entire life while only racing over open lake for about 7 minutes. As an aside, at the office building there a several caged parrots ranging from Macaw to African grey. I would recommend a reservation and anytime after noon is probably the best time for gators.

this place was just flat awesome, professional guide, lots of animals, convenient location, I just cant say enough about how nice of an experience this is.Most airboat tours are way out in the glades and frankly there are few animals since the airboat is as loud as a DC-10. The guides at this place operate on a lake so the animals are used to the boats and they dont feed the animals so its ethical and legal.

Our friends were first-timers on an airboat, and they loved it.We had been on two others in Florida, and this was our favorite. The Captain was very informative, pointing out numerous gators, and identifying dozens of different bird species. Cost was $37 each for seniors for a full hour tour. It is a comfortable boat that seats twelve, with earmuffs provided. Would recommend for all ages.

A Great Ride!We saw plenty of alligators and birds. Probably about 20 different kinds of birds and 20-30 alligators of all sizes. This is much better than the Everglades Air Boats, there we only saw a few raccoons and some pelicans. Where the Everglades had a lot of boats in a small area, here there were only a few boats and a large area. We even saw a bald eagle and a Wood StorkIf I had to choose between the Everglades Air Boat and here to bring visitors, I would choose Lake Trafford .The Everglades does have better restaurants. Immokolee , which is just down the road has a casino but not much else.

We went on the airboat trip and it was GREAT! The tour guide was very informative. We learned about gators, birds and the environment. The tour went through weeds and tall grasses. During the ride, I thought to myself, "It looks like we are going through those weeds. No he is going to turn it." He didn't! My children (7 and 10) rode in the front and they loved it!We started our day at Gatorama at 10:00 and then went to the airboat ride. It was a great day!
