If you are one who appreciates History ,or even if your not a BIG History Lover , But Love This Wonder State of Florida , This is a Must Do ! You wont regret it ! also if you have stopped in a few years ago , it would be with your time to revisit .Its an awesome family experience .

A small but nice museum that tells you the story of this region of the State. It’s in an older house and each room is from a different period of the areas growth, with at least for me, the Civil War room being the most interesting and informative. If you are in the Lake City area its worth the stop but also make sure to visit the Olustee Civil War Battlefield.

We go to the museum every few years. It's an interesting place to learn about the local history. The volunteers are very helpful and friendly. The building is an old house with many stairs, but a nice place to spend an afternoon becoming more familiar with the area.

Free, Donations welcome. Very small, takes a few minutes to walk through. Interesting to see relics from early days and old pictures of city fathers.

We are not history buffs but loved this little museum. The museum is located in an 1870's era house in Downtown Lake City, FL. It contains exhibits related to the history of this Northern Florida County - settlers, native americans, civil war etc and a children's room. the people running it love it and will happily spend time with you.
