why would you serve chocolate cupcakes at a spa- the chocolate brakes ones nerves run wild....? and why would you have disco music going - and a disco ball in the steam room??? but the actual service treatment were very good. just a weird vibe- NOT relaxing in the end and isn't that the point of a spa???

I visited this resort for a wedding and stayed nearby for a mini staycation and WOW! the staff is so welcoming and I felt like I never had to ask for a thing. I will stay at this hotel next time I need a weekend away. Dasha in the spa was wonderful and brought me a cupcake and water because it was hot outside without me having to ask for it and my spa treatments were perfection. The spa offers all the basics but I tried one of their fancier body treatments called Queen of hearts and it was worth it. It came with a facial and massage with a bath for half of what I've spent at other spas of this caliber. The wish tradition at the beginning was a sweet touch also. A must see of spa lovers!

We booked our stay at the hotel because of the Spa, intrigued by its claim to be one of the best spa in the world and an aqua playground for adults. It is really not all that, but that's not why we were so disappointed. This is a long story, so if you want to read the whole thing and have the patience, go for it, if not, here is the short of it. We ordered a treatment after having been quoted a price of $315 for the two of us. When we checked out of the hotel, the price we were billed was twice that, and no matter all the proof we presented that we were misled and mis quoted the wrong price, they denied it, and even refused to credit us the mandatory 20% gratuity, something that was decidedly unearned in this situation. Our bill came to a total of $800 for a two hour couple's treatment. Personally, I would never spend so much money on such a trivial thing: it's an insult to God and to starving children. I'd as soon give that sum to a bum on the street than to these thieves. This was a conveniently expensive "misunderstanding" (theirs, not ours) and it is unforgivable of a spa that claims international notoriety. It's also a crappy run down place, with a nice whirlpool and nothing more to offer than that.Don't go here. That's the short of it. There is absolutely no excuse for this sort of behavior.More details:The spa is fine, it's nicer than your average day spa, but don't be fooled that this is the best spa in the world or that it even competes with the likes of Canyon Ranch, Ritz Carlton, or some of the Ayurveda international spas. It has a nice whirlpool with a waterfall in the middle, but it soon becomes obvious that the waterfall thingy is just for looks and it's incredibly loud. The rest for which the staff will have you pay $55 as a special price if your'e a guest at their (really expensive) hotel, is just a bunch of lounge chairs and water fountains. They told us we could step in the waterfountains but when I did, I found that it was as productive or advisable as stepping into a puddle at a public shower. Not something you want to do. Gross. All the same, nice place, if overpriced. The doozy came afterwards, when we called on the phone to ask about the price they told us that it was $299 but that for an additional $15 they could upgrade the treatment to be for two persons. Naturally we thought that was an amazing deal and asked again if we had heard right, that the total price for two people doing this treatment was $315 (plus taxes and gratiuity) and again the girl confirmed this. At spa checkout I confirmed again that the whole treatment for two people was a total of $315 plus tax and gratuity and again I was assured that it was so. I asked them if my husband had come out and paid (sometimes he does this), and they said no, that I could take care of the bill. I told then I would settle the bill for both of us, and the bill was $315 plus taxes and gratuity. When I checked out of the hotel, I saw that the charge had been added up twice. I thought it was a mistake and called. The checkout desk referred me to the spa. They spa (same girl who had quoted us the price) saw the double charge, apologized and said they would take care of it. Fifteen minutes later, the spa calls back, and the same person who had quoted us the price, and who had said to us that the double charge was a mistake, was now trying to tell me that I had misunderstood, that the "upgrade of $15 dollars for the couple's treatment" was in addition to the $299 per person charge. In other words, the "upgrade" to make the service into a couple's treatment was no upgrade at all: it was a penalty fee on top of the double charge. Usually when you do treatments as a couple you get a discount, not a double the price plus a penalty fee. This is the first time I've heard it called an "upgrade." I guess language manipulation is becoming popular for those who already have your credit card number and can pretty much do whatever they want with it.I've been to many spas. The $800 treatment was the same as the $155 I get at home. IT IS NOT WORTH $800, believe me. It's just what it is: someone applying products to your body, then telling you to rinse it off. It's questionable it's worth even $155. Even so, if I had been quoted this price from the start, I would have politely declined and chosen a different treatment. Instead, the girl insisted that the upgrade was for the couple's massage. Understanding that this girl was language challenged, I pointed out to her that the proper way of quoting the price would have been $15 per person plus $299 per person, that is, $399 per person, $800 total. I emphasized to her the importance of the "per person" clause and that problematic word, total.Silence at the other end. I think, ok, so finally she sees her mistake. She says, "Please hold on." Twenty minutes later she says, I"ll call you back. We get a call from the manager, who asks us to repeat the whole thing again (for the fifth time at this point). They know what happened, but they still ask me to repeat every detail I do, still polite, still certain that this is a misunderstanding. I am so naive. The manager says, "I'm sorry you misunderstood, but the girl told me how she explained it to you, and she explained it correctly." (In other words: "Madam, you are lying because you want to get away with half the price"). Note: we had been staying at their really pricey hotel for 8 days at this point. This was not a money issue. This was an issue of a spa admitting their mistake and correcting it appropriately. They failed miserably.I pointed out to her that both my husband and I had talked to her and she had told us both the same thing. I also told her that when I checked out, I made it very clear to the front desk that I was paying for both my husband and I.She insisted this was my misunderstanding, not their mistake, but she was going to give us a free pass to their sauna/whirlpool worth (according to them) $110. If this is not adding insult to injury, I don't know what is. Most places, when you stay at their hotel, will welcome you to use their facilities.I told her that I was checking out, and therefore her offer was an empty gesture, and that this was an unacceptable situation. She said, more or less, too bad for you. After I got home, I decided to be mature about it. After all, the masseuses did their jobs and they deserved to be paid. However, the spa should have been the one to cover their salaries, not us, but ok. So I wrote them three letters and told them that I would settle for having them credit me the 23% gratuity that they automatically charged the treatment. I told them that they did not deserve the gratuity. The response was to send me to a survey.I did the survey and repeated my issue and again asked for the 20% gratuity to be refunded.I asked them to respond by email (to have a written record and also because I'm a teacher and cannot keep my phone on during business hours). They called me during business hours when I asked them not to and left me a message to call back.I did. and I emailed back. No reply. This is the most ridiculous, absurd, insulting situation I've ever been in. Slap in the face treatment at a spa that claims to be great? I don't think so.This place sucks. Don't go here, and from reading the reviews, I see this is their mo, not just an incident.

This review I write ONLY about the spa,it has nothing to do with the hotel.I had a manicure-pedicure at my first visit,Sandra was wonderful and everything was perfect. The problem was with the check out, first of all they do not advertise their promotions, they have a mani-pedi for $90 . It took a lot of time and a lot of checking as they try to bill you at the maximum price,I discovered a lot of mistakes. For this place,it is a shame.I had also a hair cut,she is very good and professional but by the end she seemed to be bored and sent me with wet hair despite my request to dry the hair . For $100 per hair cut,and for all their fuss ....this was disappointing.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Eau Palm Resort and Spa. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the spa itself is spacious, comfortable and sparkling clean! Highly recommend!

I recently visited the Eau Spa with my husband. It was a special occasion and so I spent a while reviewing different destinations and, from the reviews, Eau Spa seemed to be the most luxurious option so I was really looking forward to a day of 5* pampering. We had a nice time, but it wasn't the perfect 5* experience I had imagined. Things didn't begin well when the Spa called the day before to confirm our booking. I had explained on the phone that it was a surprise for my husband and so they said they would not call to confirm. They did and I was out so my husband answered the phone. Luckily I had already revealed the surprise, but if you're planning a surprise perhaps give them your mobile number so they can only call you. On arrival the valet staff we're friendly although they seemed surprised to see us arriving at 10.30 in the morning and asked if we had come for a late breakfast. I explained that we were there to use the spa and the staff left us to it. There were no obvious signs to say which way to go for the spa was so we stood for a moment a bit lost before being able to catch a member of staff and ask for directions. He walked us through the lobby and to the spa entrance which looked perfect, but as we walked through the door the spa entrance turned into the gift shop. Again my husband and I were a bit confused about where the spa actually was and which way to go - you check in at the gift shop till. The staff in the gift shop were very friendly and someone took us through the gift shop and in to the spa entrance where we completed some forms and were asked to begin our experience by placing a candle in a pool. A nice touch which felt like a signal to relax and unwind. The facilities are immaculate and the staff showing us around were very friendly. There is a jacuzzi with heated daybeds and a storm shower, a steam room and a sauna which all looked great but they are single sex facilities and so, as my husband and I wanted to spend the day together, we didn't use them which was a shame. The set up would be great for a girls day out.The "co-ed" facility is the court yard. This is nicely lad out with loungers and chairs and at the end swinging chairs over a shallow pool where you can relax and dip your feet. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it was a nice spot to unwind. However I was disappointed on two fronts. Firstly there is little shade. It was quite quiet while we were there and so we were able to choose one of the few lounge chairs with an awning and ask for the shade to be pulled across. If it had been busy we may not have been so lucky and, with the Florida sunshine, shade is really essential. Secondly the chairs were quite dirty. The first lounger we sat on had lots of ants running down the side of the cushion and when I looked between the chair and the cushion there as a dirty knife and large pieces food. I picked a second lounger and this had nuts between the chair and the cushion. I would really expect a 5* establishment to be spotless, it wasn't very relaxing to think I was sitting on someone's left over dinner. We had lunch in the spa and my husband enjoyed the food which seemed to be reasonably priced and of good quality. I am a vegan and explained this when ordering but my lunch was still served covered in cheese. I didn't bother to complain as it was almost time for our treatment. I would expect a 5* establishment to be better set up to cater for dietary restrictions.I have to say the treatments we had were very good. We had a scrub and massage and later in the day a facial. The scrub and massage were good, especially as you had some quiet time to relax and wash off the scrub in an over sized bath outside which was fun and very relaxing. The facial was really excellent and left my skin looking fantastic!Overall, we had a nice time. The treatments really were good and the time spent relaxing in the courtyard was pleasant. I'd go back it they had a good offer on to enjoy the treatments or with girlfriends to make use of the facilities. I was hoping to be wowed and I wasn't. Something is missing and I wouldn't describe EAU spa as 5*. I think they are trying hard but the basics, likely cleaning up after people, seem to let them down. Perhaps the staff need a little more guidance and training. the hotel clearly wants to do a good job, we found a copy of daily staff guide they produce highlighting positive customer feedback as well as complaints and events. It's great they care but the simple fact that we found this left by some magazines for guests to read for me shows that they have a little work to do.

What a wonderful SPA! From start to finish, we were there 7 hours and did not want to leave! I had a facial by Candace that was perfectly relaxing and refreshing. A delicious lunch was served by Kenneth and Devon, who were spot on with excellent service and suggestions. What a cool surprise to discover the swings over the outdoor pool. The entire staff was so attentive to each request. What a fun wonderful day and I can't wait to go back. Loved the beauty of it, the peace and gracious service. Everything has been thought out for your ultimate comfort day

I had a fantastic Mani/Pedi yesterday at the EauSpa! Sandra was fantastic, she gives the best hand and foot massage, I would definitely request her if you plan on going.

I spent my birthday here...7 hrs and was not ready to leave! I love this spa, especially in the fall, the outdoor baths and massages are to die for.

Wonderful staff.. They are very attentive but leave you alone when you need it. The spa itself is like a fantasy world. They have cupcakes and champagne and call themselves an indulgent spa, not a health spa! The facilities were immaculate (like the hotel). They have sauna, steam, steam shower, whirlpool and heated chairs. There is an outdoor oasis to relax after treatments that is co-ed. (see my pictures) My husband had a massage and he rated it very high! I did a day pass for $60 which included the scrub bar. You pick your scent and they give you a scrub, body butter and body spray. The prices for a massage are anywhere from $200 - $400. The prices are those of a Palm Beach spa in a 5-star hotel so be prepared. It was a very nice treat and afternoon of pampering for us both.

I am a self proclaimed "Spa Queen" and Eau Spa is hands down in the top 5 spas I have ever visited in the world! From the "intention candle" at the beginning of your service to the fabulous facility and amazing staff, I cannot recommend this Spa enough! I also visited the Spa at the Breakers and the Four Seasons while in the area and both were pathetic compared to Eau Spa. Don't waste your money or time at either Spa..Eau Spa rules!! Patrick was my therapist and his "Imperial Geisha" treatment was out of this world. Extremely relaxing, professional & talented man who obviously is in the top of his profession. Stephanie at reception was lovely and her calm demeanor set the tone for our experience. Thank you so much for bringing me back to center!!

I decided to take advantage of a special the spa was offering for a facial. The Spa is incredible - great jacuzzi with a rainfall in the middle, zen relaxation area outside while you wait for your treatment. My esthetician was Joanna - she was great. After a relaxing experience Joanna went the extra mile noticing my robe was damp from the jacuzzi and insisted on getting me fresh one and meeting me in the zen area with a glass of champagne. Two thumbs up!
