Not sure how to review a Cemetary other than to say I have always. Been fascinated by cemetaries, the older the better and this one did not disappoint. Well kept and orderly.

A nice quiet place. All the neighbors mind their own business. Very little night life. Once you settle here it's all over.

Quirky old cemetery with great old markers. Deceivingly large and you could spend several hours wandering. However at dusk it was very creepy. We enjoyed the morning there and were glad we didn't stay past dark the night before!

it is definitely an old cemetery. Peaceful with a lot of trees. Saw a family of pileated woodpeckers. Neat place if you like peaceful quiet spots.

If you like old spooky cemetaries this may be for you just outside town. Has some old graves even civil war soldiers. Has the old oaks with spanish moss. No fee

We enjoy visiting old cemeteries looking for late 1800 stones. While the cemetery was "gothic south," it could have been a bit more cared for. Please watch out for LARGE falling live oak limbs. If you are at all familiar with Spanish moss draped old oak trees you know what I'm talking about. A branch fell about 30 feet from where we were standing. There was a tremendous cracking sound followed by a earth shaking thud. Needless to say someone could have been seriously hurt by this act of nature.

The gravestones tell wonderful stories. There is the couple who were born in the mid 18th century and died in their 80s. The father-son gravestones that tell of a 17 year old boy dying and a father dying 4 years later at the age of 49.

An old cemetery shaded by giant oak trees draped in Spanish Moss. Beautiful views, interesting tombstones dating back to the early 19th century. Old south at its gothic best.

The only problem we had was the gates were locked and there was no sign to indicate what time the cemetery opened.

This is a beautiful little graveyard. I like to photograph old headstones so I frequent cemetaries regularly. At any rate, there are many older plots here which most people find interesting as it it somewhat historical

The graves here date back to the early 1800's. Gorgeous setting, & if u look closely at the headstones, history comes to life. Something is always blooming. This might sound funny, but it is a perfect setting for a picnic. Absolutely can't be missed if u r in or near Micanopy.

Love the grand moss covered oaks and the old fenced plots - so historic and grand. Some of it is falling apart from age and tree roots but very scenic and atmospheric.
