I recently wanted to do a little bank fishing and ended up fishing of the piers located in this park. This is a nice quiet little place if your are looking for an easy to get to outdoor venue.

This afternoon my family and I set out to discover some of the parks on the gulf near our house (we are relatively new to the area). We stumbled upon Eagle Point Park. We pulled into a gravel lot where there was only 1 car parked. My kids jumped out and headed to the playground with mom while I paid my $2 entry fee (its sort of on the honor system) and found a dirt path taking me around the other side of the water. I walked and walked and you know what I found? Nothing! After a long walk it simply dead ended where the waterway heads to the gulf.Walking all the way back around I found out the one car had a couple kayaks in the water. I caught up with my family who were enjoying the playground. Here are a few other things we found:Pros:-Not crowded-Nice playground, picnic tables, manicured lawn-Access to the gulf plus a fishing pier -RestroomsCons:-$2 fee. There are plenty of places around town with the same facilities (or better) at no charge. They probably spend more money by paying someone to come around and collect the fees from the box than the amount they actually bring in.I will be including a number of pictures from our visit. If you found this review helpful, please let me know by clicking the button below!
