I purchased this tour via a groupon promotion and was a little nervous about it but I can tell you that it was the absolute best choice I made for the 3 days I was in Miami Nov 2014. I did the combo tour with Miami City tour in morning/ Biscayne Bay Boat Tour in the afternoon. The tours were handled professionally and if you are only in Miami for a short while like I was (post cruise) it will give you a all encompassing view of Miami by land and see in very comfortable surroundings.

We took the combination tour which included a 2 &1/2 hour terrestrial tour and a 3 hour ocean tour. A bus picked us up from our hotel and took us down to the pier where we boarded the actual tour bus. The wonderful thing we have found about tours of any kind is that they expose you to a myriad of things you would never other-wise see or hear about. This tour took us to 4specific locations; Coral Gables, Miami, Miami Beach and Little Havana. More than the physical sites, the history lesson provided by th tour guide regarding the significant people in Miami's history was worth the fee itself. We had an hour break, at which time most of us went to lunch or tried to squeeze in some shopping and then we were off to the boat tour. Miami is like a petulant child and her best face is revealed at dusk from the water. The boat trip took us around the three most famous islands and peninsulas and I must say, I continue to be amazed when confronted by how the rich and famous live. We saw houses and yachts which currently belong to/or at one time was owned by most of the major industrialists or rock stars/movie star personnel in the country. We enjoyed the tours and think they were well worth the time and money..

I signed up for the Land/Water combo tour through my hotel , the Hyatt Regency Miami. While I was waiting in the lobby for the "Safari" bus to pick me up, I decided to read the Travelocity reviews. It didn't take me long to wonder if I'd made a mistake. Most of the reviews were awful. People combined about everything! So my question is..."Were we on different tours???" My tour was great! They picked me up on time. The buses were in good shape. Our driver / narrator, Danny, was fabulous! He made even the most dull areas come to life ! Our break in Little Havana was a lot of fun! I bought the best Mojito that I have ever had. Yum!The boat tour was definitely the best part. Out boat ( more like a yacht!) was beautiful ! What a perfect way to see Miami and Millionaires Row in all its splendor! This was the ideal way to spend my one day in Miami. I would recommend it to everyone!

I found this on Groupon and for that good of a price it was a great way to start a 3 day adventure in Miami. I did the 5 hour version, which included a bus tour and boat ride. First, the bus tour. Parking at Bayside Marketplace was easy. They have an early bird special and since I was in by 10am and out by 5pm it was only $5. I was told to be at Bayside Marketplace near Victoria's Secret by 10 am. They didn't start checking people in until 10:15 and we didn't leave until closer to 10:30am. That's fine. There was confusion for some people that got on the wrong bus. I understand. The guide had a good sense of humor and knew several languages. Everything was done in English and Spanish, but he was also able to throw in some French and German. We made a short stop in Little Havana and saw things like the Biltmore, Coral Gables, South Beach and other cool sights around town. The boat ride was in the afternoon. I was expecting something like a small catamaran but it turned out to be a 3 level yacht. Facility was nice. The tour was guided, but it devolves into looking at celebrity homes and most of them are long gone previous owners (Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra) and the rest they can't name (I'm guessing for safety reasons). I must have been getting tired, so I ended up napping through the last 30 minutes or so.

First of all no one wants to waste 5 hours for 1.5 hours boat trip. These guys job for boat trip us simple pick and drop. I got this from my Hotel Miami Beach Resorts. They made us ready by 9:30 but picked at 10 but effective boat trip started at 11:30. We were done at 1 p awaiting for drop back to Hotel. They picked at 2 p and dropped at 2:30. Just imagine how much time they wasted. Ticket effectively costs $28 but these people being a middle man took $40. Staff us poor, These guys are not friendly.. Specially bald fat man with shark tattoo on his right foot. Fatso told us to await at a point - near the road, when asked when will the bus come, replied in 10 mins. For them all will be done is 10 mins but trust me it will take not less than 1 hour.If you want to go for Boat trip, come directly to BaySide in Miami beach. You will save time and money.

We booked a bus and boat package through our hotel. We were collected from there by a rather shabby, smelly coach and taken to the tour bus departure point. First impressions of the bus were not good as it looked quite battered and unfortunately, the whole tour turned out to be a disaster - the speakers near us did not work and we couldn't hear the commentary, so we were none the wiser about Miami by the time the tour ended ! The whole bus rattled and the engine was excessively noisy and with people eating food on board, it was an experience not to be repeated. When we mentioned these points to the driver, his only comment was 'Thankyou for the feedback' said with a big grin on his face. After such an awful morning, we decided not to risk the boat trip. A nightmare trip not to be repeated or recommended!

We went on Christmas Day on the city bus tour and boat tour combo, as a fun and interesting thing to do with my wife and parents who were visiting from the UK. Sadly there was nothing good about this, and we should have read the tripadvisor reviews first. Stay away from this shoddy outfit and spend your dollars elsewhere. In short-- Old and delapitated bus which had been in an accident as the front was smashed in but had not been repaired.- The speaker system on the bus didn't work so we didn't hear anything from the tour guide.- After telling the tour guide the speaker system wasn't working he did nothing to fix it, and really didn't care.- Refused any sort of refund.Based on how bad the morning was, we skipped the boat tour so can't provide a review of that part of the package.I did a quick poll around my family of words they thought summarized the experience that Safari tours offers- appalling, horrendous, diabolical and utter crap were some of the highlights!

I did the Everglades tour to Gator Park and was surprised how good it was, especially after reading reviews here. However, I'm beginning to realize people will complain about anything! The bus was scheduled to pick us up at 930 am in Mid Beach and arrived pretty much on the dot. We had to transfer buses at Bay side in Downtown Miami which was not a big deal and literally took 5 minutes. The bus ride out to the Everglades was fine, and the bus was air conditioned. The tour was not very long itself, maybe 40 minutes or less. We did see maybe 10 alligators and the boat captain was nice. The wildlife show at the Gator Park was entertaining. Overall a pretty decent value for the price I paid ($40). Also I read in other reviews here that the bus drops you off at Bay side and not at your hotel. That is false. The bus dropped me off directly back in front of my hotel.

The pickup time from the hotel was 9:50. The bus eventually decided to show up down the street at 10:25. When we boarded the bus it smelled extremely damp, the upper front windshield was cracked and there was water on the floor and on the tables and the seats felt damp. We got moving and stopped at Bayside, thank god, to change buses because the 'air con wasnt working good', no mention of the above conditions at all. However due to the change of bus I wasnt able to sit with my wife for the City Tour portion and as I was next to a window where the double glazing was shot, the condensation meant no pictures either - awesome.Having said all that, the tour guide was extremely good and delivered the tour twice over in English and Spanish, no mean feat. Having toured South Beach, Downtown and Coral Gables we went to Little Havana for the obligatory 'stop and spend at the local shops' section however we did go to Calle Ocho and see the Dominos Club, the oldest cigar maker there and some souvenirs so not all bad.The promised hour for lunch at Bayside ended up being 50 mins. We were all herded into the Tradewinds restaurant as it was 'nearest the boat tour' - the obvious backhand deal between the restaurant and the tour company - however the food was good. It was just such a shame that as ours didnt arrive until 13:35 and we were told to be at the board for 13:55 we had to rush it down. The boat tour around the famous homes was nice. It lasted around 1.5 hours and it was nice to be out on the water. Essentially most of the homes were houses that 'used to be owned by ......' but the lack of current information didnt detract from the impressive nature of them and kept things interesting. We finished the tour back at Bayside and having been told the coach would be 'where we left it' we got back on the same coach with same driver, only to be told later that this was the wrong coach and we needed the one behind.. more changing buses.Overall this was a good trip in terms of content but the timings and organisation were very poor.

Wasn't particularly impressed with the tour, $55 seemed a lot for what you got, booked through a tourist info on miami beach and picked up there to be shuttled across to miami, then the tour immediately brings you back to where you got picked up from. The coach for the tour looked awful, as though a touring coach had been in an accident and the roof had been cut off and converted from there, The outside was battered and welding looked horrendous. First part of the tour was round the art deco district, pointing out buildings and stories about them/residents, trouble was that the guide kept swapping between English and Spanish mid sentence and I got throughly confused, not working out which building was being talked about half the time. We then headed back past the start point and downtown miami to little havana, apart from the cigar shops and a couple of gift shops there wasn't much of interest, just a normal street. Then back to the boat tour, the guide was much better, but other than some impressive views of the cityscape the rest of the tour just involved sailing past the houses on the islands and a Telling us who lived there etc, not really something I'm interested in, or how the tour was advertised. On returning to the shuttle bus, several people who had got the bus with me in the morning weren't on the list and being one of the few that was I had to personally vouch for them to stop them being kicked off and left in downtown miami... To sum up, if you like hours of driving around with crazy commentary and having a view of celebrities gardens then this is for you, just take plenty to drink, if not, like I wish I had done, just take the miami beach walking tour.
