If you're trying to get into the comedy scene, but have always been a little shy to "go all in" this is a must-do. Thursday nights they feature a bunch of amateur comics that put their names in a hat, and russian roulette style get selected for stand up. Some are excellent, most are so-so, and others are a total wash-- but it is all in good fun and the crowd is super supportive. Drinks are $5 a pop so it ends up being an inexpensive evening venture. I would definitely recommend.

We went with a group and our first thought driving there was we had to try to get a parking spot but nope, there was plenty of easy parking and we got there after about 100 other people were there already. The comics gave a very good show and were somewhat cleaner than we are used to but that made the show even better. There wasn't any big name that night but there was a big ton of fun and the staff didn't throw their taking our orders weight around which was a very refreshing change. I used the ladies room and it was clean so that was important to me and all and all we had a nice time and we plan to go back there before any other club. We didn't know who to thank so we can thank them with this review. We had tickets to the Fort Lauderdale club but they changed the name to the Catskills Comedy Club and they kept the comedic standard to what the name implies.

We checked out this place last night. We were worried that it may have closed.I called and shortly after someone from the club returned my call and affirmed they were open with a name change.Super friendly staff, decent prices, charming venue made a great night. And the comics were very entertaining!Good bang for your buck.No food yet but loved the Chocovine.Hopefully they do well.We plan to go back next week.

Was looking for a comedy club close to Ft Lauderdale when I came upon the Ft Lauderdale Comedy Club in Oakland Park. Cool looking " indie" place, flet very mid century modern, and the best is that it was reasonably priced. They only serve wine and beer, but they had my favorite brand of hard cider , so I was content.Definately a late night crowd, and it was the perfect "after dinner date" place. The staff was really pleasant and warm, not the usual routine in my experience with other chain clubs. The place is on a busy road but it is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, parking was free and convenient.

Always a fun night, come with friends....very affordable, free parking.Club is intimate, cozy....comfortable seats. 2 drink minimum but oh so affordableThe people who work there are really nice too.Clean....and non smoking.Best of all the comedians are FUNNY! Yes. adult ..leave the kiddos home...but not "filthy" for the most part, just funny. Fast paced, not all the filler that some comedy venues get bogged down with. I LOVE it here Every one I tell about it thanks me
