We were completely surprised by this museum. It was on our "possible things to do list" and we were so happy that we made the time. We had a wonderful tour of the buildings with Tory (?) who was so knowledgeable . We were referred to a lovely cafe - Norma Rae were we picked up sandwiches and ate lunch in the park. Don't miss this attraction in lovely Palmetto.

This museum may be small and a little out of the way, but has lots of information and history of the agriculture of Manatee County, FL. They have lots of social events for families through out the year with Halloween and Christmas being two of the best! This museum is within the Palmetto Historical Park. Lots to see and learn.

The Manatee County Agricultural Museum and the Palmetto Historical Park in which it is located, take you back to old Florida. Both have a great feel. Be expecially sure to visit during the Christmas, Halloween, and other special events. Sitting in the church during the Christmas event is magical. Though a nice quiet visit any day of the year is good for the soul and mind.

We really enjoyed this little museum and the historic village which is in the heart of Palmetto. We also visited the library which took us 'back in time'. The whole area is very well done and the museum is a must-see for a resident of this area.

This lovely agricultural museum is hidden within the Palmetto Historical Park. After touring the lovely buildings of the park, I ventured inside the museum to discover more about this county's agricultural industry. I was surprised to learn how much of Florida and the United State's agricultural comes from this west coast county and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and amount of artifacts and displays. They also have Junior Ag Spots located throughout the museum that would be perfect for families with children. This museum seems very family friendly.
