Longleaf Pine Preserve has been a county park for about 10 years. It has and east and west entrances that are connected by about a 10 mile trail. It's roughly a horseshoe shaped trail with the back part of the horseshoe usually wet. I usually do one side or the other. Hiking and biking get you into typical Florida terrain. What is unique is it has become a hotspot for geocaching with over 100 geocaches in the Preserve. Not as nice as Doris Leeper Preserve, but a good place for a ride or a hike and a great place to geocache.

A variety of scenery along this 11 mile trail. Well marked. There are several shorter options that loop back to the west end trailhead. You'll need to leave a car at both ends or add 4 miles to walk back along the road if you opt for the 11 mile trail. Looking forward to doing this trail again. Maybe add a walk around the lake near the west end of the trail.
