Heard about this place from a local and stopped in 4:30 pm on a Saturday. Place was empty which was kind of scary. The chef said they had over a hundred people in for lunch and we were too early for the dinner crowd. This is a cool place with a seafood market in the front of the building and the restaurant in back over looking the water. If you want, you can buy from the market and they will take it to the kitchen to be cooked like you want it. As you enter the restaurant, you pass the kitchen which has a window and menus and a board listing the catch of the day to order from. The menu includes Appetizers, Sandwiches, Baskets, Soup of the day, Sides, House Caesar salad with different toppings, Key Lime pie for dessert and a good assortment of sodas and beers. Place your order, pay for it and they will bring it to your table. I ordered blackened Cobia fish with house made potato chips and cold slaw.$ 16.00 , a large cup of white clam chowder $ 3.50 and an iced tea $ 1.25, all very good. My wife ordered blackened Snapper Tacos (2) with chips $ 12.00, a cup of Lobster Bisque $ 3.50 and a domestic beer $ 3.00, all also very good. Too bad this place is 3 hours from home but we will be back when we can.

Crab-E-Bills has outstanding seafood. Prices are quite a bit higher than the local grocery stores, but the quality is far better. Don't bother if you're looking for a bargain, only if you want the best. If you don't see what you want, ask. I didn't see any smoked fish for sale, but they brought out three different types to choose from in the back. The freezer stocks clam chowders of various types, as well as conch, crab, and lobster bisque. The lobster bisque that I bought this trip was great. I was tempted to buy a slab of their tuna, but the family had other plans. Next time....Sign up for their e-mail mailing list, and get a list of specials each week.

Since arriving back in Vero Beach I have had the pleasure of eating in the restaurant and then taking the Sea Scallops back home- they are the best we have ever had in the entire PLANET. Let them advise you how to prepare and then let them melt in your mouth. We always take the fish spread home as well- perfect on crackers!! As for the fish my favorite this past week was the grouper fish cheeks- but then grouper is my favorite fish of all time.As to the comments about price. I am not sure if these folks eat seafood out- but if you go to Red Lobster or any of the :fish joints" you sure are not getting dock fresh fish- which of course costs more. I plan to take grouper home to N.C. it is that special- try their sauces- and by the way the homemade chips that are so thin and sooooooooo good

They are my go to for the freshest fish in town. The restaurant is overpriced for what you get. The seafood is the freshest. However the crab cake sandwich is 80% croissant & 20% crab cake. All the sandwiches we had were the same way, way too much bread & too little seafood. The food needs some seasoning too, salt & pepper maybe. Fresh chips were good, except they needed seasoning & some were soggy. Tweeking a few things could make this restaurant absolutely awesome!! We'll be back for lunch again if they improve the food.

If you are visiting Sebastian for the first time, this would be a good place to stop in. There is a nicely presented tableau of historical photos with lengthy captions for you to peruse. It is right on the river's edge providing some seats with a wonderful view. The staff was friendly and accommodating. But $16 was a bit much to pay for a Fish Rueben sandwich with only a side of baked fries. These were overcooked and not really very tasty. If you have kids in tow, there is a multi-level viewing platform built around a large tree outside, where you can let them run off some energy (but supervised, of course).

What I like most about this location is the authentic fishing village ambience. The eatery is in the backside of a 1927 fish house that was constructed nearly 100 years ago from parts of an old wooden barn. It oozes character. The fresh seafood market deals fresh catches from multiple fisherman daily. The fish, scallops and crabs are all fresh, but--a bit pricey. The eatery deals mostly fried seafood items. But again, the food is fresh and made to order. They tend to get a bit unorganized in the line so try and avoid the height of lunch hour.

I am not a seafood eater, that being said many restaurants that serve fish have a distinct aroma that I find it difficulty to eat and sit in, Crab-E-Bills does not. Besides the fact that they have the freshest fish in Sebastian, hands down, their other items like; salads, homemade chips, chicken fingers, tacos, and shrimp are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have lived in Sebastian for twenty something years and over the past year this casual order and sit restaurant has won me over, its unassuming and comfortable with an outdoor deck with seating facing the river. If you are wanting to eat fresh seafood prepared a variety of ways with an interesting atmosphere don't waste your time going anywhere else on the Sebastian riverfront.

This place has progressed/transitioned in the past few years. It was initially a seafood store and full service restaurant, then the restaurant closed, but the seafood store remained, now there is a limited service restaurant. I've eaten there twice since the new restaurant opened and it's sort of a "take out", but eat here kind of place. Still dig it; as we take our food out to the deck and enjoy the view of the Indian River.

It's worth the drive from almost anywhere to get their selection of fresh seafood. The market has extra fresh seafood, great selection, and fair prices.

Can't say enough good things about Crab-E-Bills Seafood store with seafood so fresh it was probably swimming minutes before it appears in their market. The staff is exceptionally well informed and knows the provenance of the seafood they are selling. We purchased fresh local mahi mahi and used one of the recipes from the brochures they have on hand as well as their homemade smoked fish spread (between mahi mahi and yellowfin tuna I prefer the mahi mahi) and both were delicious. Tonight it's linguine with white wine sauce and clams from Bill's - can't wait!

This is one of the freshest, friendliest, cleanest seafood markets you will ever buy your seafood at. And I have been to plenty having been raised in Maryland and then living as an adult in South Florida. They have a great variety of seafood and make many things themselves like their crabcakes, salads and soups. I think their seafood is very reasonably priced for being this fresh. They have just opened a little eatery in which you go to a window, order your food and eat in the restaurant that faces the water. There is no waitress service. The food is indeed good but frankly a little over priced. $16.00 for a fried fish sandwich with cole slaw and homemade chips? $10.00 for bacon cheeseburger? Hope they rethink their prices but please make sure and visit their market.

My wife and I decided to check out the market and grab some lunch. We usually catch our own so are very picky. I have to say, I was very impressed by the freshness and quality of the fish he had in the market. This will definitely be our go-to fish market on those rainy days! We then went around back for a bite to eat. If your looking for frills, loud music and Northern accents....go up the road a bit to Hiram's. This is a nice, simple eatery. we both ordered the fried whole belly clam basket. They were outstanding ! The only reason I didn't go 5 stars was it seemed just a tad pricey.. roughly a dozen whole fried clams for $20. We'll be going back again soon !

What a great find. If you are staying in Oyster Pointe or Oyster Bay it is right behind you. Walk over and get some seafood. Staff was great. Over the week,we got Lobster, Swordfish Stone Crab, Fish Dip, Blue Claw Crabs. All very fresh and reasonable priced (except Stone Crab, which is always expensive but was the very first day of the season).
