Great service started when I called from Wisconsin and ask a few questions over the phone and did not end until I turned in my rental equipment. I love good customer service and they have it down pat. Every time I called they were always willing to help and take time to answer my questions. Never felt rushed or pressured to hurry up even when they had other customers. Prices were reasonable and they only sold me what I needed. Good job guys and we will see you next spring.

We took a long weekend away and come all the way from NJ. We decided to do some snorkeling because I have never been and my boyfriend hadn't done it in forever! Steve was quite accommodating when it came to the times we went out. He was all about us getting the best experience possible! When we arrived they showed us a video of where we would be snorkeling! It was really awesome. Our guide Dave was great. He got us set with all the appropriate gear and we set out to the Ocean. I have a little bit of trouble with asthma but he was great. He offered to tow me along on the flag but I wanted to get out there myself. Once I was out there the fun began. It took me a little while to get my breathing down but once that happened we had a blast. Dave got a nurse shark moving around for us. My boyfriend and I free dove down with a school of fish, and Dave was always pointing out something cool to us. Let me tell you that an hour was not enough. My boyfriend and I are now looking to get scuba certified so we can go even further down. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to any one in the Lauderdale area.

I can't say enough good things about Gold Coast Scuba. I contacted these guys a month or so ahead of my trip because I wanted to get my PADI open water cert. They walked me through all I needed to do. I purchased the eLearning and did all my academic work online ahead of time. (NOTE: DO NOT leave it until the last minute!) It was super thorough and really prepared me for what I needed to know in the class. I was late to the first session as I was getting off a cruise ship but they totally accommodated me. There were two other dudes in my class with me. We got all our gear and everything we needed for the weekend included in our fee. The more people in the class, the less each individual fee is. For three of us it was $269 each (plus the eLearning) which really is a GREAT price. Day 1 is a quick test, get fitted for your gear and off to the pool. We went to an outdoor pool complex in Pompano and it was AWESOME. The pool was like bathwater which was great because we were in there for a solid three hours. David, our instructor was very kind and patient. Really, he calm and kind demeanor really took a lot of anxiety off me. after the pool session (3 hours) we broke for lunch back at the shop and then went out to the beach a few blocks away and went in for two of our open water dives (back to back). We did surface tests and then down we went! We saw lots of fish, lobsters, coral. Great stuff. And David was there every step of the way, testing us and making sure we felt safe and comfortable. Day 2 started at 7:30am at the South Florida Diving Headquarters (I reviewed that place too) and it was just the best. We did two dives with a 55 minute surface interval between. We went to a ship wreck and then dove over some coral. It was just amazing. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. I strongly recommend getting your cert done here. These guys love what they do and it shows.

Being an Orlando Otter, knowing Lauderdale by the Sea, and the Gold Coast. I show my membership, to the guides; put on all the provided equipment. Instructors check me out in equipment. From Lauderdale by the sea, we explore local waterways. Cost $75.

My family used GCS for dive certification and the service was top-notch! The owners are personable, helpful and have great local knowledge of dive locations. The beach dive near the pier is only 1/2 mile from their location and it is an excellent dive site accessible from the beach. There is a very short swim from the beach to the reef, it is well marked and is a very beautiful reef for a shore dive. I highly recommend it

On first visit to LBTS and Gold Coast Scuba everything went well. I only rented tanks there and asked a few questions about the local diving. The person on duty was very accommodating and professional, unlike most dive shops with there elitism and arrogant attitude. I was given a short briefing and on a computer was shown wreck diving locations and info. When I returned the tank a different person was on duty and he invited me to join there local diving club. That entitles you to receive discounts at the shop for rental gear for a small fee. If I was local I'd sign up.With my good 1st visit I would recommend stopping in if you find yourself in LBTS and need some scuba gear or local diving info.

Gold Coast was amazing to my boyfriend and I. They helped us schedule our dives, rented us equipment for a shore dive at a very competitive rate, and were awesome with helping me choose a camera to purchase. The young man with the blonde hair was who helped us each time. Go see them and use them if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Gold Coast Scuba is very active in helping people enjoy the local shore diving, and they also plan a lot of boat trips with South Florida Diving Headquarters, where the awesome Pam works, who gave me a great Snorkle tour of Datura. Through Gold Coast Scuba's meetup group I was able to connect with buddies for shore diving and we had a blast. Steve also loaned me his own tank when I wanted to try a steel 100. Next time I want to try their moonlight dive, but this time I just got the Tshirt :-)

I moved to Fort Lauderdale January 1st of this year. I quickly discovered the Gold Coast Scuba Meetup group because I belonged to a diving Meetup group in New Mexico and I moved here to dive. I am happy to say there is an abundance of diving opportunities in the group and everyone is super friendly. There are all levels of divers participating in the group activities which is great. I have taken three classes with Gold Coast Scuba and I feel the training is superb. I recently completed my Rescue Diver training with Brian. He is a patient and thorough Dive Instructor and completing the class heightened my level of confidence as a diver. In the shop Steve always goes above and beyond to provide excellent client service. He has booked many dive trips for me and arranged many beach diving events and there has never been a problem. Steve is always very knowledgeable about the current ocean conditions which really helps in making and informed decision about participation in a diving activity. The prices are fair and the service is exceptional. I am definitely a fan and would highly recommend Gold Coast Scuba.

We were in the office 3 times in the week of May 11th through May 16th. The guy in the office is a JERK! One of the " dive masters" is a stuck up snob. The dive master who went on the dive with us did not even go with us. What would he have done if there was a problem?

Really good experience! I saw turtles and lots of fishies! The water was great and very clear. I love swimming!

My son and I went in to rent equipment. We ended up talking to Steve for awhile. He was very pleasant to talk to and very knowledgable about the area dive sites. He even went to the extent of showing us videos and maps of great dives. I would rent from Steve again when in the area.

Gold Coast Scuba is a wonderful local dive shop very convenient to the beach diving capital of the world, Lauderdale By The Sea. They really cater to beach divers, and they have a group of friends and dive buddies who dive nearly every day of the year. They offer a full range of equipment sales and rental, quick airfills, and training at all levels from beginner to professional. Whether you are local or from across the planet, you'll be greeted as a friend and given the best service. Gold Coast Scuba also gets involved in the local community, from environmental issues to fundraising to the annual city Lobsterfest. I'm happy to be not only a customer, but also a friend.

The shop is close to some of the best and easiest shore diving in S FL, and the staff will tell you everything you need to know, whether you bring your own gear or rent from them. They organize a popular meet-up group, that has dives most every day, so whether you have a buddy or not, you are good to go!
