Lovely little museum, easy to negotiate ( although I'm glad it was quiet on our visit & you had to go from floor to floor using a small lift) Great array of art deco nostalgia pieces.

This places has an eclectic collection of really interesting objects that the Wolfsonian has on display. It's worth the visit if you're going to Miami Beach

This is a gem of a museum/gallery, almost unnoticed from outside but well worth a visit. At the time of our visit there was an exhibition of Art works inspired by and dating from the First World War. This was particularly well done and the background information given was intelligent and well displayed. We were very impressed and would recommend a visit.

The place is not bad but the exposition I have seen was not too exciting. The entry anyway is free and you can visit at ease because there are few people.

We came upon this museum after dinner one night. The look through the door of the lobby revealed a gorgeous window grill from an old theater. We decided to go the next day and were not disappointed! Amazing exhibit on World War I.

We were recently in Miami prior to departing on a cruise and decided to take my in-laws who are in their mid 80's to this museum. We were attracted to the Myth and Machine: The First World War in Visual Culture exhibit and were not disappointed with the quality and diversity of the items showcased. I was particularly taken by the myths exposed and the role of women in support of the front line men. Well worth visiting.

The exhibit at the time of our visit, the Art and Propaganda of WW1 was amazing, as were the displays of the permanent collection. The museum itself is a lovely venue. Well worth a visit when you are in South Beach.

They gave me free entry for liking the museum on Facebook and I spent about 45 minutes exploring the exhibits. The building itself is classic art deco and quite amazing considering it was a storage building. The exhibits are unique and interesting. Worth a stop particularly if its a rainy day.

Along with an interesting collection of decorative and visual arts, the museum has unique special exhibits. The current exhibit shows World War I posters and art. The differences between the countries are fascinating. The Wolfsonian also has a shop and cafe which also has serves beer and wine. Definely worth a visit when the beach is rained out b

Modernism, propaganda posters, nostalgic home appliances, architecture. This place hit everything I love. Great people working the ticket booth and shop too.

Don't miss this gem. We were there for a special WWI display about the war and culture which was very well presented and interesting. Equally intriguing were the many artifacts that the museum has saved and collected from around the world. Where do you put those beautiful accruements attached to buildings being torn down? or conceptual models? You put them on display at this museum. Priceless stuff, like the stairs from a residence that spiraled up without any bottom supports.

Right now, there's an exhibit of WWI with matching lectures and performances. Beautifully set up and centrally located.

The exhibitions change so check before you go. We went to the WW1 expo and it was excellent. Having seen lots of stuff from a UK point of view it was interesting to see propaganda and artifacts from other participant countries like Austria, Hungary Italy etc. It's free on a Friday evening from 6PM. But we thought it was worth the entry fee ($7 from memory)

This museum was suggested by our tour guide James Cubby during our Art Deco District walking tour. It is packed with items from all over the world collected by Mitchell Wolfson over the years. There are so many unique items depicting wars, inventions and life in so many areas of the world. He amassed an unbelievable collection!! It was interesting, and a must see.
