This is possibly the most touching holocaust memorial I've seen, including all over the US, Europe & Israel. Definitely the most important of all the "must see" sites for anyone visiting the area.

This memorial is not to be missed. It is a wonderful tribute. There are lectures on the Holocaust and other events to attend there. The Memorial itself is a real work of art.

A wonderful memorial. A must see. Our children loved it. A great teaching moment. We visited the memorial as part of our Segway tour with Bike and Roll. A great way to see Miami and the memorial.

Absolutely amazing. To me it reminded me a lot of Jerusalem (I have been several times), indeed, that was the intention, the chiseled while stone was carved and shipped from Israel. The quite garden/fountain is surrounded by names of the lost and vegetation that grows in Israel is also planted here. Walking into the center under the yellow Star of David (with "Jude") in the middle was heartbreaking and as you walk the corridor, choral music is playing and the names of all the concentration camps are listed on the wall. The main sculpture is surrounded by incredibly lifelike depictions of those interred in the camp and starving. We went here on a whim and I feel as though everyone should go here and show their respect. This memorial was planned out by Holocaust survivors and it is amazing.

I went to this place with no expectation at all and I was amazed about how the tunnel and the expresion of the sculpture faces made me feel, I definitely recommend it. Is near Lincoln road and other south beach tourist attractions.

...despite this, I will say that we found this to be a profound and very compelling memorial. I would highly recommend it to visitors to the area.

We visited this memorial on a recent visit to Miami and were touched by the beauty of the place and information provided on the murals. I was most impressed with the quality of the sculptures in the inner circle at the base of the larger than life hand reaching up into the sky. One must definitely walk all around the pond to view and read the murals and then enter the hallway to the base of the hand to truly understand the pain and suffering of the millions of Jews who perished and to those who survived the holocaust. A must see in Miami.

The Holocaust Memorial took my breath away. The first exhibits are moving but the centerpiece just blew me away. You must see it for yourself to grab the significance and impact which it has on one.

The Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach is a sad but inspiring place to visit. The sculpture that is at the outside draws the eye upward and inward toward the millions of lives that were lost. Inside, my husband and I searched names to find my grandmother's family, but we were unable to find them. We knew only one name, my grandmother's niece. It is a place to contemplate life and death. It brings the past into the present, because the anti-Semitism that was so prevalent during the Holocaust hasn't died. It has just changed hands. It is a good place to bring teens who only have "heard" of these memorials in various parts of the country. We must make sure that the next generation and the generations after that Never Forget.

Beautiful and terrible place at the same time. Prepare to get emotional... As an Europian this place might have been even more touching.

It is a memorial for the 6 million people who was lost due to the holocaust and just standing among the names and seeing the statue made me emotional. It is directly next to the botanical gardens so you can walk over to that after you have finished the holocaust if you want to.An interesting fact is that the memorial is placed on the address 1933-1945 Meridian Ave, the street numbers given to this place is the same as the time period of the Holocaust. Don't know if it was coincidental or on purpose!

This was such a moving memorial that I don't think anyone can go through it reading about the sufferings and not shed a tear

Beautiful tribute! Reading the names and looking and the pictures really evoke emotions. As a grandchild of holocaust survivors it was really touching.

We visited it at the advice of others and I can tell you it was an afternoon well spent! I had absolutely no idea what to expect, so the result rather blew me away. Very powerful and something I will never forget!
