A group from my church went here for an outing. Some of them had never shot before, and some of them were seasoned pros. The management and staff here were AWFUL! They berated us and told them newbies were not welcome to shoot! I will never go back!

Gun World is one of the largest indoor shooting ranges in south Florida. They have two separate range areas: one is 50 feet (10 yards) for pistols only and has five or six lanes. The second is a 75 foot (25 yard) range for pistols or rifles. That range has about 10 or 12 lanes. With so many lanes, in many, many visits I have never had to wait to shoot with one exception, and that day I waited only about 10 minutes. The entire facility is quite new and immaculately clean (including the bathrooms). It is also quite large, so you don't get that cramped feeling that exists in many smaller gun ranges and stores. If you are traveling through south Florida (or if you live here) it is a great place to stop in for a little practice. Their range prices are competitive with most local ranges, but with one huge difference: most ranges charge by the hour, while Gun World charges by the visit! So you will pay the same as anywhere else for the first hour, but after that you can stay as long as you like without any additional charge! They have a pile of weekly specials: ladies shoot free on Wednesdays, everyone shoots at half price on Mondays, Friday is date night with two-fer prices on range lanes. Gun World is family friendly! Children can shoot with their parents -- I believe ten years old and above, maybe 11. Both of the range areas have a wheelchair accessible lane. Their shop is also quite large, and is well stocked with a wide variety of pistols, rifles and shotguns, as well as ammunition and any other accessories you may need while on the road. There is also a full time gunsmith on the premises in the event you have any malfunction or just need to have some work done on your gear. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. Try it!
