lighthouse cove tiki bar

We were looking for some place to dance and someone suggested the Tiki Bar. When we got there @ 5:30 the band was playing, but no place to dance. A few couples did get up and dance between the tables. We ended up staying and having a couple of drinks because it was fun & the old timer band was pretty good. The place was crowded with a pretty elderly customer base. A couple of guests got up and sang with the band. One was a Paul Vance whom I had not heard of before, but he wrote quite a few popular songs including "yellow poke a dot bikini" which he sang. Fun night!

I ate at the TIki Bar twice while staying at Lighthouse Cove Resort. My waitress was very efficient and attentive. I tried their 1/4 burger one night and the Mahi Mahi sandwich another. Both were good, but I liked the Mahi Mahi sandwich better. The fries were also very good. The food isn't fancy, and the handburger was probably frozen, but still it is a good value considering its location and live entertainment. The crowd is mostly over 50, this is likely because it is in an old timeshare and most of the timeshare owners are now older. The music is mostly classic and soft rock, never too loud. In any case it is a relaxing and fun place, except for the smokers.

The Tiki Bar at the Lighthouse Cove was such fun. We were staying at the resort and took advantage of the live music, played by the pool and enjoyed the beach. The Tiki Bar staff is so friendly and was always willing to pour our drinks in plastic cups so we could take a stroll out to the beach. Gina our bartender was just wonderful. She took the time to learn people’s names and their favorite drinks and seems to truly enjoy her work.

If you just want to hang out by the water in an unpretentious, relaxing atmosphere, then this is for you. If you're looking to get some great tasting food, then you need to go somewhere else. The food is very mediocre. Not bad,but unremarkable.

Great for outside breakfast with the view of the beach. Also fun for drinks before dinner. Has band and singers, some night better than others.
