We were staying in Montgomery and found this place. We went on a Tuesday night and there were mostly locals there. They were all so friendly, as was the chef/owner and bartender. We sat at the bar and had wings followed by burgers. Wings are pretty large and the sauce was tasty. There are a variety of of burger. I had the blackened blue (blue cheese). The flavor was wonderful. I attribute this more to the beef itself than anything else. It is rare (pardon the pun), even on Cambridge where I live to get a burger this good. They have a full bar and a fine selection of beer on tap, I highly recommend this 'dive' bar as a pleasant alternative to fancier restaurants in the area

Last Saturday we stopped by for a drink and some snacks. We enjoyed the long island iced tea very much and the wings and onion rings were very good. The place is a little dated and the carpet and bathrooms need some work. This place must be a lot of fun during ski season.

Come for the food and entertainment and stay for the comfort of great lodging. The menu with daily specials are impressive. The seafood the burgers, wings and pizza Wow, who can ask for more. The staff from ownership on down treat you like family. The Snowshoe Lodge is the real thing. Thanks guys.

Good spot for pizza and bar food. Gets pretty lively at nightime. Always locals hanging out so you can get the information about the ski conditions.

This is our go to place for drinks and entertainment. Watch out for local competition with pool. People get protective of their quarters there!

We dined at the Showshoe to watch the game on TV. We ordered "Pub Grub" i think is how they phrased it, and it was delicious and generously portioned. Great place and friendly people.

Nice place. Good, solid food Bartender was quick, friendly and informative. There is a billiard table in the side room with all sorts of arcade games. There are a ton of TVs to watch your game. You'll find skiers, renters from upstairs (you can rent a room!), tourists, locals young and old, families with kids of all ages. Walk in the door & feel welcomed but not overwhelmed with in your faceness!

Came to the Snowshoe last Saturday night for dinner. The food was great- classic VT pub fair. The server was friendly but seemed swamped, as did the kitchen based on the wait. The atmosphere is a bit divey but cozy and very Vermont lodge. My party of four ordered 2 cheeseburgers (the Brent Burger with bacon, garlic, onions, and cheddar) that were cooked perfectly and very good ($9.95 for a burger and fries I believe). My mom tried the cheesesteak sandwich with onions, peppers, and mushrooms (around $10 I believe) which she loved. I had the fish and chips ($12.95 served with coleslaw or cottage cheese). My parents had raved about having it previously, but this time I thought the crust on the fish was a little bland and not very crunchy. If we went back I would definitely try one of the burgers. The fries were unexpectedly round and delicious. The restaurant was full and the food took a while, which the server has warned us about. We also enjoyed some beers (they have Switchback, UFO, Angry Orchard and a few others I don't remember on draft). There were some people at the bar that were pretty drunk for a dinner crowd (6-7 PM) but now overly obtrusive. Overall, it was comfy, classic, VT pub food.
