I'm pretty much scared to death of heights, but do "stupid" things like this. The day we went, was off season in the fall just as colors were changing. It was the operator, my wife, myself and our English Bulldog on the tram. I pretty much sat in the middle holding on for dear life. The ride up was smooth and bearable as long as I didn't look down. Once at the top, it was absolutely amazing the view you have. Breathtaking. I highly recommend it, at least once..

Took the tram to the top on a somewhat overcast day. It wasn't that crowded which was great. The ride up is slow and steady and gives you a chance to take in the view and take pictures if you want to. Once to the top you can get out and enjoy a drink and a snack at the small café or walk around and take in the view up close. It was somewhat windy the day I was there but the views are breathtaking and you just can't find words to describe. You can stay up as long as you want and just catch the next tram down to the bottom when you are ready. Overall worth the ride for the view. The resort gives out coupons for a free ride when you stay at one of the hotels.

Upon check in a valet named Jesse was there every step letting us know the weather was changing the next day and that the Tram to the top of the mountain was having its last run and the views wouldn't be so great the next couple days...that by the way was great advice and we took it.We dropped our bags and headed for the Tram...We bought our tram passes at the general store and boarded almost immediately.Don't miss this if anything else at this resort. The views are breathtaking! I cannot say this enough...the view from the top of the ski hill is beautiful.HIGHLY recommend the Tram!

Family trip with the dogs up to the top of the mountain for our hike down. Pet-friendly during off season. About an hour hike back down the mountain with the dogs. Great way to experience and enjoy the Fall colors.

i went back to ride the tram to the top-- the last time being over 45 years ago when my dad took me skiing there....the view was great--with the trees showing their colors far belowand for only $10 a person--not bad at all

Wonderful views, spectacular scenery, bring a sweater...it's chilly at the top! The lady who escorted us was lovely ?

Jay Tram Summertime ride that is a nice way to spend a couple of hours. The tram goes about every 1/2 hour. We packed a lunch and enjoyed the mountaintop views, which in a clear day .... You can see forever. Remember windy days they may close down .The tram was dog and kid friendly; offers you as much time as you wish to traverse the top rocks, or hike back down the mountain. They offer a senior discount . In addition the store at the base has sandwiches, beverages available to take with if you like.

The ride to the top of the mountain at Jay Peak was stunning. However the young people who sold the tickets and ran the ride were not particularly welcoming.

Reasonably priced tram visit to the top. A view that is just breathtaking on a clear day! We were able to all the way to Montreal.

On a clear day the 360 degree view includes Mt. Mansfield to the south, Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the west, Mt. Washington and the White Mts.to the east and the Laurentian's to the north.Go up and have a picnic.

Have not been on the tram for years. Miss the old mountain. Seemed like we were in another state and not Vermont. Very pricey for the local people. They should give the local residents a deal.

So 30 minute lineups in minus-25 weather. Frozen before one gets on inadequate lift. Need a gondola or a high speed bubble chair!

Wish we'd known that the Tram is Dog-Friendly in the off-season - we wouldn't have left our pooch behind at the Inn. A really beautiful ride and view!

Simply a wonderful experience. The views are fantastic. The Tram Operator was a character and made the experience even more enjoyable. She was very friendly and easy going, not bothered by anyone or anything. The Tram itself is great quality, made in Switzerland. We rode after dinner and the clouds were coming in, so we had some views a little over half the way up. We did come back the next day which was clear and beautiful. You could see the green mountains of Vermont, the vast land in Canada and the huge mountains of New Hampshire. The top of peak was breth taking. There were many trails to take up of down is you wanted to take the tramway one way. Certainly hope to come back in the winter!

This place is located in Montgomery, Vermont. However, the map & surrounding hotels that trip advisor has attached to this place are all for Montgomery, Alabama! I know this because I live in Montgomery Alabama & I recognized the map-- street names----- hotels---etc. right away. Also, evertime I bring up my trip advisor app on my phone, it has this place listed as one of my "nearby places". WRONG!
