I took my senior dog here a few times for an easy hike. The ground is level with an easy gradual incline. The views of the lake and scenery are amazing. Parking is easy and it is right outside the city. Area is clean and not full of too many people.

Found out about Red Rocks Park from some folks we met aboard the Whistling Man Schooner. Definitely did not disappoint! We wanted to get in a nice hike that would be no longer than a couple of hours, and it was perfect. Gorgeous wooded trails, beautiful views of Lake Champlain, and not overly strenuous. Will definitely return!

Took my senior dog on a hike here and it was great. It wasn't a strenuous hike and the ground was all level, either gravel or dirt so it was easy for her. The views of the lake are amazing. Would recommend for seniors, kids, dogs, and adults.

Wonderful views of Lake Champlain nearly everywhere you go. Some of the trails could be marked a bit better to avoid confusion when leaving. Definitely don't miss out on the cliff jumping spots!

We were looking for a little time on the lake after coming in from Stowe. The Shelburne Museum was closing soon so we saw this on the map and decided to stop. Small cove rather than views of larger aspects of lake, but boats on the water, swimming area, small area for walking in pretty wooded environment. Large grassy area for sitting or smaller rocky/sany beach. Not bad for quick relaxing time on the water.

Serene, not crowded, beautiful park. Cliff jumping and rock climbing at your own risk, but not unsafe. Beautiful.

What a fabulous park! The walking trails are expansive, great views of Lake Champlain from high on the cliffs. There is also a stone beach with a rental hut for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards, swimming area. Bathrooms are in the rental hut. You have to pay for parking in the woods of the park but there is a large parking lot outside of the park if you don't mind walking in. Dogs are allowed but have to be on leash. Great hiking on a warm day because of all the shade. Not too hilly so it's great walking for all ages.

Pleasant wooded walk if you care for the path less traveled .... plenty of exploring as the few paths criss cross and circle back .... and a nice beach on the Shelburne Bay side .... walk all the way to the end at the Point and you are at the mouth of the bay overlooking the Lake .

GREAT hiking spot for a stroll, dog walking or just having a day outside. My fiance and I decided to stop by here on our way out of town and we weren't disappointed. This was our first visit to the Burlington area, so we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Beautiful views, well maintained trails. Could use some more signage though. For someone who doesn't know the park, some intersections were harder to navigate without a trail map. Luckily there was a few friendly locals who knew the park and could tell us which way to head. Loved it though. Nice surprise to end our trip with. We will be back most definitely!

I live next door so have hiked and skied the trails many times. This is a small park with nice terrain, trees, and flora. Good lake views from the edges, some high, some at waters edge. Also good for fishing and swimming (in summer).

This is a lovely park, lots of good long trails, perfect for walking dogs. When it opens up the view of Lake Champlain is wonderful, and theres some nice swimming options too

We have walked these trails numerous times this year, always a pleasure. But there is also a nice little beach there, but it is quite a chore to get there. The parking area is quite a ways from the beach, requiring down and up a good sized hill. This is not good if you have a couple of kids in tow with beach necessities. There is a gated entrance right next to the beach, which is only opened if someone is handicapped.I actually contacted the town of South Burlington, and they reiterated that one has to go to the attendant, who is quite a distance away,to have someone actually go down there to let someone in.The beach access is simply not family friendly,a real shame.

A hidden gem good for hiking to the lake edge bluffs. Mostly locals use it. Get a map and find out how to get there. Smallish parking area.

Red Rocks Park is kind of a well known secret. It's not really near anything except a residential neighborhood, but it's found on a side street off a major roadway. It's a nice, slightly out of the way place to get some outdoors time in. Red Rocks is more of a collection of trails than a traditional park. It is set on a cliff over Lake Champlain making for some excellent views. There are multiple winding trails with lots of look outs and secluded wooded areas. There is also a small beach and a picnic area with tables. This park is a great place to spend a couple hours in the woods without going out to the middle of nowhere. Even when the parking area looks crowded, the trails never seem overwhelmed with people.
