This museum has consistently great travelling exhibits but it's the core collection that is simply awesome. Using traditional historic artifacts along with interactive multimedia, the exhibit traces the history of Jewish Clevelanders. Along the way, it focuses on diversity and how inequality has affected many different groups. Some of the exhibit is graphic and quite powerful and may be too strong for young ones however these sections can be avoided easily. It is important to know where we have come from as a nation to move forward. Definitely inspirational and worth a visit.

The Maltz museum is a true gem in Cleveland. Rich with local history, it gives visitors a very thorough and authentic view of culture and progression through the local surrounding area. We are truly lucky to have such a great resource. Be sure to check the schedule of exhibits as well.

The museum is well thought out, the displays are informative, and interactive. The museum contains audio- visual presentations including interviews, short movies, and more. I spent more time there than I anticipated, since it is a worthwhile museum. I would like to return when there is a special exhibit. Be sure to stop by the gift shop-very nice too.

Lovely setting and fascinating and comprehensive local input. Also very nice gift shop. Good reflection of the strength of the local Jewish community currently as well as over the years.

Saw The Dead Sea Scrolls here in like 2008, I think. Spent whole day here, even skipped lunch. So much rich history.

I was surprised by how informative this museum was. They also make good use of interactive exhibits and a number of excellent audio visual presentations. We did not spend as much time there as we would have liked and we will go back when we go to Cleveland another time. We went to one of their special events, which was a tour of spots in Cleveland that were related to Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the 2 Jewish partners from Cleveland, who developed the Superman comics. A very interesting afternoon. I highly recommend seeing the museum as well. We have visited Jewish museums in other cities, but this one was the most interesting and educational out of all of them.

I have visited the Maltz Museum many times, and I always find something new, innovative, and interesting. Museum exhibits cover a wide range of topics, both American and international. In addition, the museum honors the creators of "Superman," who were born and raised in Cleveland. The gift shop is excellent!

Went here with a group of middle school kids on a field trip. Was not sure what to expect. The exhibits were well layed out and a tribute to the Jewish heritage in our area of Northeast Ohio but also explained the Holocaust. There was a speaker but our children were bored halfway through. Did not seem to keep their attention. Only takes couple hours or less to peruse the museum. Does have a gift shop.

It is exciting and educational to visit the museum. The exhibits are done very well and can be nostalgic. It is a warm feeling to view one's heritage and recognize places and people that one has known.

I did not expect such an exceptional museum. The Maltz truly captures the history of Cleveland Jewry and it does so with a mix of memorabilia and testimony. The various short films are well made and augment the exhibits. A special experience!

This is a great museum even if you're not Jewish. A lot of artifacts and things to read. It's not huge but a good afternoon worth of things to see.

We spent about two hours seeing the permanent exhibit and the temporary one on the Dreyfus Affair. Both are very well done and very moving. The initial portion of the exhibit showed issues facing all immigrants and set the stage beautifully for the more specific Jewish experience. Highly recommended.

You DON'T have to be Jewish to appreciate this museum. Spent 4 hours here and learned an incredible amount about the Holocaust, Cleveland and the "cast of characters" with ties to Cleveland. It is done in such a way as to grab your attention and make you want to learn more. The permanent exhibit of temple belongings is by far the most impressive collection I have seen. A new exhibit on Dreyfus will be coming soon. Make it a point to visit this museum.

The Museum and its various exhibits are unique presentations of historical perspectives and it is something that one can only appreciate by going there - do so.
