We spent the day before at Homer Laughlin plant then today went to Hall China tour. This was a very informative museum that told much about the history of the area. There were many samples of local work from the various ceramic companies. The museum director was very friendly and interested in our time there. They had a nice video to start and many displays.

Visit this museum for the first time even though we had been in the area several times before. We all really enjoyed it. Great sense of history and where East Liverpool fits into it all. Nice displays, lovely building and staff. Definitely worth a stop.

We spent a wonderful morning here after making the beautiful drive from Cleveland. The museum is an incredible treasure trove of Ohio AND ceramic history. The collection is very impressive and it is displayed in an organized and inviting manner. The museum director and several volunteers there were so kind and took much of their time to explain the history of several Ohio potters, point of pertinent displays and just chat about their wonderful history and town. My father collects Harker pottery and the authors of THE book on Harker pottery happened to be at the museum when we were there and they enthusiastically shared some of their knowledge and stories with us. We can't wait to go back and explore more of the town!! Thank you Museum of Ceramics!! We'll be back.

Just couldn't imagine until actually seeing it, what beautiful pottery was made in and around ELO! It's a MUST see for anyone interested in pottery and Ohio history.

Though East Liverpool town offers very little. The Museum of Ceramics is very enjoyable and full of history of the town. It tells the story of yesteryears and how the town developed with potteries. They have a film to watch and you tour the building. It was formerly the post office building. Small entrance fee and since losing state funding would accept any donations. Well worth the trip!!!!!!!!!!!

It is worth visiting. From what I remember, it was very interesting and the ceramic pieces were outstanding.

We've been to the Museum of Ceramics many times. We're very proud to say we've been members for several years. The displays are beautiful and educational, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. What a wonderful experience for young and old and what a great utilization of the building that was once our post office.

Lovely old building and a great museum (by small town standards). The ladies at the desk were so nice! This is a must-see for anyone who has an interest in the pottery industry.

The Museum of Ceramics is a fantastic place for pottery lovers and pottery collectors. It has 2 floors of wonderful displays, mostly of ceramic ware produced in and around the East Liverpool, Ohio, area from the 1840s to the 1960s. There are some great lifelike displays in the lower level of scenes from the old pottery days in the 1800s, showing what a grueling life it must have been to work in the pottery industry. There is also a wonderful 35 minute multimedia show that gives you a good understanding of how important the pottery industry was to the Ohio River valley in the 19th century. It only costs $4, or $2 for children, and is well worth the visit.
