You can purchase nice handmade items and other things. It's right in the middle of GOTL that you can walk to everything...have food, wine and music and enjoy yourself just by people watching. Recommend always going to Eddie's and having a hot dog!

Nice place, had alot to bring back home. The shop was clean and person working was very helpful and friendly.

The Landing Festival Marketplace is a name for an area right in the middle of GOTL that really never developed. A few years back there were great plans to construct restaurants, shops, an entertainment area, and overall rehab. This was to be done in a multiyear plan after ErieView amusement park was dismantled. Not much new has been built here. The Firehouse has expanded slightly, and the area has a few benches and gravel walking paths, but the restaurants and entertainment have never surfaced. Years ago there was a Diagram posted of all that was to be, but that has disappeared. There has been some signs of improvement, tidied up buildings , and refreshed paint, but it is basically the same, only the Erie view Amusement park is gone. There are however a number of special events that are held in this area, throughout the year, wine tastes etc.... It would be nice to improve the truly ghastly restroom facilities that are in the area. When you pay over $20 to get into a wine event, you would think there would be a least decent facilities !We enjoy the nostalgia of the area, but are disappointed in that the plans never materialized. No one seems to have a explanation for that (we suspect the general downturn of the economy) . GOTL is still a great place to go for a close get away and there is still a lot to offer, but newer development apprears to have been indefinitely on hold. You can still dine on all the 'Carnival type favorites - hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, etc. and some older restaurants. Look up the various reviews for the restaurants IN GOTL. There are also many smaller establishments serving various things, for a step back into time.
