This is a great place to take a long or short walk and see the interesting estuary ecology. We especially like the indoor exhibits that are well maintained and informative. Some are interactive. The kids love it all.

Nice place to spend a couple of hours in farm country. There are several short trails, which are an easy walk. The main building has some interesting geological information on the area and how it has changed throughout the years. No fee. A good free thing to do if it's a nice day and you want to see nature.

Alway enjoy my walks at Old Woman's Creek. I took my kids there 20 years ago and now I take my grandson there to enjoy the wonders that nature has to offer. There is a really nice nature center that gives a lot of history of Old Woman's Creek (Indians, birds, and water life)exhibit children can enjoy and learn from. The trails are very well laid out and easy to walk on and follow.I do go there frequently with my grandson just to get away and let him learn what nature is all about. To see the water fouls in there natural environment and the sounds of nature at its best.

interesting area to visit. A freshwater estuary is very rare. Good for birding. There was an Eagle's nest here at one time.

The hiking path takes you to an overlook on the marsh where there are several examples of the typical marsh wildlife. It seems to be a good spot for photography, and the birds seem fairly acclimated to human observation. I didn't see any eagles, but they are there. The Preserve headquarters employ very helpful employees and they have a marvelous online resource for providing information and directions to the myriad other locations for wildlife viewing in the Western Ohio region. This was a little early for shorebird and duck viewing, but next month they have events tailored to that.

Old Woman's Creek has not only marches, but a Lake Erie Beach and an estuary perfect for paddling. The trails wind up hill and down through the marsh where you can view waterfowl. The beach is little known so the sand is often empty and the waves crash on shore - this is not a swimming beach, however. Maybe the best time I've had at OWC is a canoe trip through the estuary which was part of an art class that took us out among the white water lilies for a first-hand drawing lesson. Check their website for classes and special exhibits.

So close to the wonderful cities of Vermilion and Huron, yet the feel of being at a wonderful State Park with well maintained paths with lots of small wildlife and birds galore.

Old Woman Creek has wonderful walking nature trails. It's not all flat like Sheldon Marsh. One of the trails goes up through the hills. There is a fantastic observation deck overlooking the creek. The visitors center is nice too (when it's open).

What a beautiful place to paddle a canoe. Kids of all ages would enjoy the interactive wildlife displays

Nice place to see. Just keep your visit brief or the security team will be hauling your butt outta there. Don't even think of taking a lawn chair!

We are so lucky to have such an educational area near by with knowledgable staff. Great place for families who want to teach children about out of doors or adults who want to commune with nature.

This is the place in northern Ohio to see Eagles, Osprey, ducks, herons, you name it. We've been here two times this year and have seen eagles both times. Osprey was abundant the 2nd time. Even got to see the osprey go down into the pond and grab something out. There is a nice decking area that has free stationary binoculars that provide excellent, close up views of the birds in a wide area. The eagles sit in the trees and in the winter you can see them perched way up high. There are mature and immature eagles but the immature ones seem to be more prolific. You can even see them flying as you drive along the lake in this area. We've looked in many areas for eagles and this is the place to go. We also saw a few deer the last time. Can't wait until nesting season starts.
