This is a hidden treasure in Kettering. There are trails, picnic areas and beautiful scenery. It is great for the nature lover, the biker and family group picnics.

Take a hike through this park. There is much to see and do. The shelters are very nice for any type of event you might have. The grounds are well kept. A place that should be enjoyed!

My mom wanted to see all the metroparks so we are working on that. This one has a cute little pond with a paved trail around it. Nice seating around it to relax with a book or bring a picinic. My mom loves rocks and there are lots to see here. Just stepped down a hill was a nice place for photo op. as water falls and lots of rocks. this are a few trails and this park appears to be dog friendly. It was very clean, safe and nice. There is covered shelter that evidentally can be rented and the parking lot is very close to the pond so ok for those with mobility issues.

Gorgeous scenery, great trails, water features, and all very close to home. The picnic shelters look like they would be perfect for a gathering, the Pawpaw shelter has a fireplace and cozy looking Adirondack chairs.

Lived in Beavercreek for a long time & this was the 1st time I have been there. Loved the scenery & the trails. Used the map to see where to go & see. Didn't make it all the way through but will definitely go back. Beautiful park.

They did a major remodel on this park and made it super nice. It' has shelters and hiking paths in the trees all in the middle of suburbia.

Honestly, the entire Dayton Area Metroparks collection is fantastic. I did not expect such a great set of outdoor facilities when we moved to Dayton. Hills and Dale specifically covers multiple acres with running/hiking trails, kids play areas and ponds/streams. There are a couple of parking areas to access the park and they are all linked by the trail system. For kids play areas, park at the White Oak Camp at 2606 Hilton Drive. For the pond and wetlands boardwalk park at 2740 S. Patterson Blvd. For running or hiking you can park anywhere. Their website has an excellent map to show you the individual areas and how they are linked through the trail system. There are running water restrooms at White Oak and Paw Paw Camps. You can also access some of the Oakwood city parks from here. From the Paw Paw Camp parking area cross Deep Hollow Road and follow the paved path up the hill along what was previously Park Road. This will lead you to Houk Stream Park, Elizabeth Gardens and Loy Park. Its maybe a 7 minute walk, a little hilly but all paved until you get into the Oakwood parks but they have gravel trails.

This place is located between a golf coarse and a neighborhood. Very nice place to picnic but not many trials to hike on. Great for someone who has physic restrictions because a good portion of trials are board walk or sidewalk.
