For as long as I can remember, I have loved coming to Lake County Speedway! This is a GREAT place for a fun night. It's not that expensive, and it's just a lot of fun to watch the racers. If you come regularly, you'll develop your favorites, and begin cheering for them! It's very family oriented (though if you have a family I recommend sitting in the family section because there is no alcohol and no smoking allowed in that section so it makes it much more fun). Don't go expecting NASCAR, that's not what this is. But if you want to have fun watching cars race and compete, this is the place! A lot of fun for a Friday or Saturday night. Good time for all ages.

OK now this is not NasCar, but honestly for a warm Saturday night for a couple of bucks, this place is fun. The crazy eight and the demolition derby is the best. Very family oriented, easy to get to, lots of parking (although grass parking). Just a good time for all. The funny car night is also one of the highlights.

Good clean racing just about every class you could think of and when the cars are not on the track they keep the mood going getting the young and the old involved

Banner night at Lake County Speedway tonight was disappointing... The nicest unique banner did not win. It was truly not a banner contest .. It was only a driver popularity contest! The racing is fun to see..., but the announcing is awful.. Bring backMr Kelly - he was awesome !!

I believe in change, but the MC is the worst. We attended on fireworks night recently and he started 3 trivia games and never finished them. How can you run contests and not finish this many??? Then there was the famous trivia on the Declaration of Independence. Who signed first and what year was it signed. Two college girls were in the trivia and not sure how they answered, the engines were loud and he never gave their answers to the crowd except for the correct answers. Anyway, the MC guessed the right year of 1776, but the genius said that George Washington our first president was the first to sign. Umm, John Hancock was, we've all heard the expression "I need your John Hancock". But it gets better, the genius decided he was going to show us by saying for all of you history buffs out there, the first to sign was... What an embarrassment! Where did you guys find this clown? So someone can tell him because he is no history buff, Washington was fighting the American Revolution starting in 1775 through 1783. I doubt he had time to concern himself with being the first signature to sign on the Declaration, oh wait, he didn't even sign it! He had resigned his post as a delegate in 1775 to be the commander of the army. Maybe you people should hold back some of this guys wages and send him to night school with that money. Maybe I'll be back? I have an idea, bring back the real MC!!!

We enjoy these races every week. Always exciting with special events, activities for the kids. Nice improvements. You have to come and see Figure 8 racing and Camper Pull!

If your into NASCAR, this is heaven. An adventure everyone should try at least once. Some events I wished there were more than 3 or 4 drivers. Fireworks night was awesome. Food is good, unfortunately they raise their ticket prices on special nights that they are packed on anyway.
