The wonderful scenery never runs out. Bring yourself some good walking shoes because the area has miles of beauty things to see.

This place was awesome! We didn't go down into the gorge, the stairs were very steep and looked icy, so we walked around the trail on top. We will be going back here in the summer!

These cliffs are famous in this area and it would be very easy to fall off if you are not careful. It is also easy to miss turns in the trail, so be sure to watch for the trail markers (we missed a hard left turn and ended up by an oil pump). You have to do quite a bit of climbing, so be ready for a workout.

Although Cantwell Cliffs are a bit of a drive from the other caves, 18 miles for us - it was worth it!!! The hike was so beautiful and the color of the cliffs and the trees (we were there in October) so beautiful!!! Definitely take the time to go hiking there!!

It's a nice stop and some pretty views. It's a little crowded and was a little overwhelming today with "tourist" in sandals who are not really equipped to hike some of the areas. As a dog lover, this is not a place to bring your dog. There are a few difficult climbs and if you don't have control of your pet, you will be in danger of falling. Otherwise it's a pretty place.

Our family takes a trip to Hocking Hills every year. Cantwell Cliffs is always a fun stop. There are two main hikes here. There is a trail going through the bottom of the Cliffs and another around the top. Like all the parks in Hocking Hills there is no fee to get in.

This was a nice and short hike (1/2 mile) so it won't take you long to do if you're strapped for time. Nice views, but one of our least favorite of the area but we're glad we walked it. Beautiful either way in the fall!

The falls were not flowing when we went, mid October, but there was a slight trickle. By the pics the falls do look lovely. The steps leading down are pretty nice. I read an article about the man hired from Tokyo who designed and built these stairs, he is quite talented and you'll see by the stairs he designed. The park is nice, well kept and well marked trails.

Cantwell Cliffs is beautiful and a lot less crowded than Old Mans Cave. The hike along the rim offers great views. I was disappointed to see a lot of trash on this hike, I hate to see people so disrespectful of our beautiful parks and natural surroundings.

We love this usually quiet hike in Hocking County. At several spots along the trail, the well worn stone & wood steps and path boundaries have deteriorated. Please be alert to them and wear a good pair of hiking shoes.Great views of the waterfall from both the rim and gorge trails. There is a bathroom at the parking lot but no water stations along the way.Allow several hours to fully enjoy your hike.

Agree with previous reviewers - the steep and uneven rock steps from the rim down to the gorge floor should be approached cautiously - but other than that, the rest of the hike is not difficult and filled with beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend this if you have some time to wonder and wander. Only thing that would make this better is signage at the trail junctures in addition to the signage and map at the trailhead by the parking area.

We visited Hocking Hills in July and tried to see as many of the sights as possible. The entire area is beautiful. Although we went during dry weather the Cantwell Cliffs area was a very nice, and easy hike. I have read reviews that it was dangerous for young children, but if you keep your eye on them and take your time, it's really not. We hiked with a 7 and 11 year old.

Very clean and well kept State park. Well maintained walking trails. Lots of steps, cliffs, rim views, so not for faint of heart. Very beautiful. Many picnic areas. Worth a weekend trip. Dogs welcome.

The upper cliffs can be wonderful to hike! Just remember to stay on the marked trails! You don't want to make a wrong step that far up!!!!

This formation isn't as popular as the others in the Hocking Hills area, but worth it if you want the drive and the walk around the cliffs.
