strawberries and daydreams

Strawberries & Daydreams was a life long dream for Regina Willehaup who has created a lovely quaint eating spot in the heart of downtown historic Miamisburg, Ohio. All customers must make reservations ahead since she prepares all the food at home & caters to this facility. I live in Colorado & was having difficulty finding any restaurant that was open on a Sunday since many of the women worked during the week. I wanted to hold a "High Tea" baby shower & reserved her facility sight unseen after hearing many favorable comments about the place & the quality of her food. I was not disappointed! I had a "High Tea" baby girl shower & we had strawberry ice tea, scones, fruit, chicken salad, egg, & cucumber sandwiches that were all delicious! I had wanted a chocolate cake & at first was going to order one from Ele Bakery ( which took over Woody's supermarket bakery known for their wonderful butter cream icing & cakes. ) Regina said she used Ele's butter cream icing & made a chocolate cake that was better than theirs. She was right! The cake was the best I've eaten & my daughter was thrilled! She decorated it with pink plastic booties ( see photo ) & everyone thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal!It was the first time these women had been to Strawberries & Daydreams & several women present inquired about using her for their office party & clubs luncheons. Regina changes her decor with the seasons & adds new food dishes & menus according to the season. She has room in the rear of the building for larger parties. Her prices are extremely reasonable for the quantity & quality of her meals. Reservations are a must since all food is prepared to order. What a nice discovery!
