This is one of the only places where you can buy something to remind you of your trip of the national park. Its gets cramped inside quick and does not seem to be staffed with enough people to handle the visitors on a weekend. staff are friendly, and will help you with maps if you ask that are more detailed than the ones you get of just the park itself without trails maps on them.

Here's a great break from the trail. Clean facilities.. a great movie, a nice store and friendly staff.

The park rangers were very bright and eager to share their knowledge and expertise. We told them we had a limited time and they suggested a plan that led us to the best attractions. A sense of pride in the park's brief but rich history made a conversation with the park staff a joy. Do make time to stop and meet them.

Accessible on the wonderful towpath trail and by car off Boston Mills Road. The Boston Store isn't a store but a charming little museum/educational display of the Ohio Erie Canal. Small little gift shop area and a pretty interesting display of the boats and tools of the canal days. On the grounds you will also find restrooms and fresh water to fill your bottle. If you are looking for a store there is a charming little shop across the street where you can get a Gatorade or some ice cream and relax before continuing your ride. This certainly isn't a destination in itself, but is one of the better stops along the towpath trail to exercise your mind along with your body. Kids will enjoy it and it will give them an understanding of how the locks worked and what sort of boats traveled the canals.

There is a small display here about the canals that were used in the area. We stopped so that we could get the National Park stamp. The place was packed because it was Memorial Day weekend, and there was a small art show going on in a building next door. Seems like a place that a lot of people use as a starting point for trail hikes and biking.

We came on Memorial Day so it was pretty crowded. The visitor center has a 15 minute video (shown in the upstairs room) which gives a summary of how Cuyahoga Valley became a national park. There are plenty of maps of the various trails for hiking as well as informational brochure of the small town Peninsula. Also it was a pleasant surprise that next door is structure used as an art gallery. Would recommend stopping here to get information, use the restrooms, etc if it is your first time to go to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Helpful staff.

This is a good stop on your bike trip to learn more about the life during the canal era when Peninsula was a busy town growing along with the local industry . The National Park Service staffs the store so you can understand this time of life gone by ....nice bathrooms, too!
