A good place to hike and see nature in town. Easy walking trails. Spring and fall are best. A Broken Arrow secret place.

Ray Harrell Nature Park is one of those "hidden" treasures in the Tulsa area. Once inside the park, you feel as though you are deep in the woods of a forest. The trails are well marked and maintained by the staff and you have the option of walking a little or a lot--depending on your mood. It is a great place for a fall walk in the park. I go there often just to be in the woods in the midst of a city.

This is so much fun for kids, to explore acres and acres of shady woods, seeing lizards skitter around, and hearing running creeks. There are all kinds of birds and flowers. The exploring kids run ahead to see what is around the bend or over the slight hills. (So fun to see them NOT watching their electronics!) The paths are well marked, so you may even find your way back to your parked car. Benches help for a "parent rest" every now and then. It is a PEACEFUL respite from city life. I've walked these paths for many years. Highly recommend.

Ray Harrell is a great park for walking, jogging, running, dog walking, etc. There is no playground area, but there's a school next door with playground equipment. There's also a nature center that's open during the day.

This is a great place to take a walk. Nice trails to walk on. I wish they wouldn't have built a new subdivision behind it. It really takes away from being in nature.

This is a beautiful natural setting - there are several trails and you will see many different types of plants and animals. It is kept very natural so the trails are not always smooth but it is a beautiful place to visit. I live very close and we have walked these trails for years never tiring of the peace and serenity found there.

I didn't feel like a run today so I decided to take a walk here instead. Even though it is winter time it is still a beautiful and tranquil park. A little on the small side...we had to walk around three loops to make 1.5 miles, but would be perfect to walk the dogs or take small children.

We love to visit Ray Harrell Nature Park and see what kind of critters are there, each time. We have seen frogs, turtles, geese, spiders, hawks, cardinals, snakes, squirrels, and much more! We've been visiting since our boys were young in the mid-1980's.

What a wonderful asset to Broken Arrow to have this wonderful hiking trail system... right in the middle of town. You can make the trail so interesting by taking a different trail each time. I feel safe there, as it is right next to the Nature Center, a school, and several housing additions. Love to experience the different seasons and see the trees bud out, blossom, or change colors in the fall. Great park to take young children on too, as you can make it as short a walk as you desire.

A hidden treasure in South Broken Arrow. Wide wooded paths, easy walking. The nature center is amazing. Small but well done. Great place for a nature trek.

This nature park is a treasure, somewhat hidden behind a school. We have enjoyed many family walks on the nice trails in all seasons of the year and it has never been crowded. A very peaceful place to take a stroll through the trees. The gentleman working in the nature center is so friendly and informative. He always takes time to answer questions and point out things of interest. Great place to enjoy nature without driving an hour.

Very nice park with a focus on the natural. No swing sets or huge mown fields here. The park consists of an information center and a number of walking trails. Relatively isolated, but you have the same trouble as anywhere else. Kids don’t stay on the paths and trample the flora/fauna. Parents do nothing to keep kids from swing on trees and breaking branches and otherwise destroying the miracle they brought them out to see. Raised voices and smokers polluting the work with noise and noxious fumes. What happen to communing with and respecting nature?Anyway, it’s a nice park and is still in good shape in spite of the lack of respect. Come out and enjoy some bird watching, hunt for butterflies, look at the wildflowers. You’ll have a good time.

Very wooded and for the most part the trails are solid and in good shape. Peace and quiet, great excercise. No floral, all trees and greenery.

What a wonderful, peaceful place to go and it's in the city. I was very impressed with the trails, the flowers, the building and the man that works there. (He is very nice and informative.) There are many different trails and none disappoint. If you are looking for a little quiet time, this is the place to go.

this is a park behind Childer's school. It is a nice walk to see nature. Some parts are paved and there are more than one trail.
