Working with the multiple winemakers was amazing...each unique. Don't skip this studio on your wine tasting tour! Clean, modern, and eco friendly...well worth the visit.

Usually we would avoid tasting rooms with multiple wine makers, but we decided to stop here because it was a Monday and not many tasting rooms were open. What a pleasant surprise. Fabulous wines, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did they provide a lot of information about the wines and the winemakers, they provided good recommendations for places for lunch.

Excellent tasting room where you can taste between 10-12 vintners. Primary focus is pinot noir but also carries Andrew Rich wines which offers bolder reds - syrah, red blends, etc. Some of the wineries (i.e. Utopia, Omera) do have their own tasting rooms so not all their wines are available in the studio. There are some excellent wines - Hamacher, Lazy River, Dukes. Definitely worth visiting if you are wine tasting in the valley.

A place where you can taste 10-12 small local vintners from the Willamette Valley and purchase their wines all in one place. Love this concept and it gives you access to some great wineries who don't have their own tasting rooms. Great idea!

They did have great wines, but they wanted to tell us more about the winemakers than the actual wines we were tasting. Not sure if that was because they didn't actually know about the wines, or if it was that they thought telling us how interesting the winemakers were would somehow make the wine taste better. It was just sort of an odd experience.

My husband I had a great experience at the Carlton wine studio. Jeff Woodard was our host and he thoroughly explained the evolution of Pinot Noir in Oregon and was very helpful in assisting us understand this great wine. The tasting was excellent and was a highlight in Oregon wine country. We were so impressed, we joined their wine club(and I'm not a fan of wine clubs).

Staff is not friendly. They seem more interested in collecting for the tastings then they do for selling wine. The costs for tastings is much more than other places. I will tell people to avoid this place....better off going to a real winery. It is too bad because many good small wineries start here but the staff and winery manager ruin it.

Went last Thanksgiving. All the winemakers were there pouring there wines. They also had some good food parings. There are some excellent winemakers here. I thought it would be just some newbies making wine here just learning the trade. Not so. The wines from Andrew Rich, Hammacher, and Brittan were some of the best I've had in Oregon. I highly recommend a visit.

It is a nice place and the wines we tried were good. We definitely got the impression that they were disappointed we did not buy a bottle on the spot stating that you can only find these wines in restaurants and the part of the reason they are there are so people can buy their wines. This is understandable, but it was more in the tone and demeanor that made us feel like they felt we were doing them a disservice by tasting (which we did pay for) and not buying. Overall, the people did not seem friendly, but sort of snotty. We won't be going back.

We're glad we visited the Carlton Winemakers Studio, and happy with the bottles we left with. A thorough tasting of eight different wineries introduced us to the range of talent in the area around Carlton. When we reviewed our bill, however, we were disappointed that several flights of tasting were not credited against our purchases. This is the way of newer tasting rooms and it leaves one feeling a bit slighted. We understand that this is a business but we also understand that the industry can afford some feel-good PR to create loyal return customers. Create a discount program, Carlton, and show us some love!

Three flights offered:Three whites, $10Four whites, $15Five reds, $15Twelve wines for $40. No credit toward a purchase. Oh, and the bathroom was broken. We had to ask for water, got two glasses and one bottle of water to clear our taste buds between tastings. That's for six of us tasting.Give this one a pass.

A very pretty building with an outdoor area for your tastings. A great way to sample many different wines in one place. A very nice addition to the Carlton Wine Scene.
