This trail was easy to find, right off the highway. There is parking available in both sides of the highway and one side has bathrooms and picnic benches. Well maintained path that is easy for anyone. We did this .8 mile hike with a four year old and a two year old and both were able to handle to length and terrain. The waterfall is stunning and can be viewed from either side of the river.

Easy to find- right off the 138. The trail is wide and easy to walk and the trek out to see the falling water is a relatively short one, with no steep hills in either direction. The waterfall is stunning, and so is the unexpected bubbling pool below it. Even the small stream running away from the pool and under the nearby wooden bridge is picturesque. A bit down from the waterfall is a picnic table which is a beautiful spot for a light lunch in nice weather. When I went, someone had stacked a small cairn of stones which made me smile and reminded me of my trips overseas. I made a companion cairn before leaving. I have been several times & have never encountered large crowds, only small groups of friendly people. The only complaint I can list is that the rest room (a large portolet) is extremely smelly, (even in winter) so use it only as a last resort. There is actually a much nicer and cleaner one across the street from the falls at the park. There you can also take in a view of the raging Rogue River as well as picnic at any of several thoughtful tables. It's a great way to spend a few hours on a pretty day. It would make a great getaway for sweethearts (many romantic photo ops) or a fun trip to wear out little adventurers.

love this waterfall. its the closest to roseburg and the easiest hike. the path is well tended and the slopes are fairly gentle for unathletic hikers. i love how you get right up to the waterfall and the pool below it (because its not as big as some). great access, beautful spot! theres also a nice picnic spot close to the falls.

You don't have to drive off the main road, just park, and walk a short level stroll. Nothing to dislike unless there are noisy people there!

This is a fabulous trail for those who don't like hiking or those that have difficulties walking. Easy wide gravel trail, benches along the way, enough switchbacks so that you don't feel the uphill climb, beautiful scenic surroundings. When you start hearing the gurgling waters you are getting close. Picnic table near the falls is a perfect spot for lunch or a snack but please, leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures...bread crust and fruit peels are trash just like cans or plastic bottles. Loved the cooling mist of the falls and the green serene mossy setting. Vault toilets and trash can at the entrance. Plenty of parking, as near to handicapped accessible as realistic for a hiking trail. Both hubby and I will return.
